About
One of Jim Fazio’s first solo projects, Riverchase is a surprisingly tough challenge given its lack of trees and relatively short length. The course runs through the bottomlands of the Elm Fork Trinity River and is loaded with water due to a chain of interconnecting lakes created to collect heavy rains and irrigate the course. While there are no forced carries, water comes into play at least 12 holes, and out-of-bounds is a frequent concern because of the housing community that surrounds the course.
No. 5 is the most difficult rated hole–a long dogleg right par 4 that requires a solid tee shot to be in position to reach the green in two. The approach is long and uphill into a severely back-to-front sloping green with a lake on the right and out-of-bounds and bunkers on the left.
Two holes later, No. 7 is one of the toughest approaches in all of DFW. This hole plays due south into the prevailing wind, and the elevated green has a depth of only about 25 feet. Bunkers line the back, and the slope in front is significant. Ups and downs are difficult because of the slopes in the green. Take a look at the pin placement when you’re teeing off on No. 4.
The good news is that other than out-of-bounds, the course is mostly wide open, so you’ll generally have a shot if you just miss the fairway. The only thick spot for trees is along the creek on holes 14-16.
Getting there : Take the Belt Line exit off of 635 and drive north to MacArthur. Turn right (east) and drive to Riverchase Dr., where you’ll turn left. Look for the course on the right side of the road.

The Course needs some work
Not impressed. It has really gone downhill. The cart paths are falling apart and they are dangerous to drive on. Some of the fairways are so rough because the ground is moving.

Disappointed
Average course, I can’t believed it wasn’t water around the course, over 100* and no water. they are forcing you to Buy water if you don’t bring your own. Tee boxes sucks, uneven, hard, and looks like sand pit. They have to improve if they want to compete with other courses around

Course is in bad condition
Very disappointing course conditions, especially on the back 9. Cart path condition is worsening making it difficult to drive the path without heavy bouncing and fairways on many holes are worse. Significant green damage on two holes from goose activities. Grounds crew is behind on mowing and edging, and fairway watering is spotty at best.

Old course
The greens were slow, of course it’s Texas and 106 degrees. The cart paths are ridiculous! They are broken and old. The worst part was no water on the course. If it’s 106 then please forget about Covid-19 and put water coolers out there. Some old person is going to die out there!!!!! It’s not worth playing!

Although Covid was the reason we initially removed water from the course that is not the reason why It is not provided now. We have kept them off the course because it is not sanitary, as once the coolers are put out on the golf course, we have no control over them. We do inform our guests that we do not have water on the course and allow for them to bring their own coolers with non-alcoholic beverages if they would like. We also have a beverage cart driving the golf course Wednesday-Sunday and the 19th hole open as well so we do offer our golfers plenty of chances to stay hydrated. Greens in great condition, fairways good, the putting great. Overall great course to play considering the hot weather they keep the course in good shape

Not Bad
This golf course is in pretty decent shape all the way around. The putting greens I would say we're better than average for this time of year and the fairways, although a bit hard, which isn't uncommon for this time of year in Texas where fun to play on. The only negative is the fact that the cart paths are really in pretty bad shape. I would not be surprised needing a visit to the chiropractor after bouncing around on those cart paths.

Needs water bad
I like this course and it was satisfied with my round there. It was a holiday so I was not expecting a fast round. I am concerned that the course was very dry. Greens were pretty good but there was a lot of grass dormant due to the heat and lack of rain the past month. Not sure I would recommend this course if the area doesn't get significant rain soon.

Okay for the price
Greens were really slow, bunkers need sand or be converted to grass. Layout was okay and for the price it's a good value.
