Not worth it
I would've been really upset if I paid full price for this course. It shouldn't be more than $100 in my opinion. The sand traps were like road base when you could play out of one. Most were nothing but mud (not their fault due to rain). The greens were aerated a couple weeks ago and still have enough sand to affect the putts. The greens were very slow rolling. Multiple holes outside of the Par 3s that were cart path only. Very exhausting when the holes have steep inclines back to the cart path. Had a resident (drunk) come out of one the houses on hole 15 and start talking with the other twosome in my group. Nice guy but he felt he should grab a ball from their cart, grab one of the guys clubs and hit a shot. I dont know if he asked to do so but it didnt seem like it. The course views are beautiful, no doubt about that but I'm paying for the course and it's conditions. Not here to pay for the views of the course.
Awesome
This course was amazing. I felt like I was playing a mountain course with awesome views. Top of the line golf carts and practice facilities. Only issue i had was for the money there was no water to drink on the course or ball washers. Other than that I highly recommend this course.
Something seriously wrong
CALL BEFORE BOOKING. Booked this course the day before playing and got a decent deal compared to other tee times on the same day, and was very excited to play. Got to the course and the pro shop only carried a few select models of golf balls, and the staff inside was not pleasant at all. Then I get to the practice facility and find out that the greens had been punched 2 days ago. No warning or anything on golf now and no warning from the staff while checking in. Greens were covered in sand and horrific. If it weren’t for the great views and good conditions everywhere else, I would have walked off the course and demanded a refund. Absolutely ridiculous to have no warning of punched conditions anywhere until getting to the practice green. Horribly run course. And pace of play was atrocious. Not happy.
Challenging High End Course
I’ve played with some friends and the course is in really good shape. Beverage cart came regularly. Food is excellent. Course is on the higher end price wise, but always a fun layout.
A work out
This course is a challenging layout with great views and a variety of holes. In addition to the 5 cart path only holes each trek to the green included a hill climb with the last few holes being particularly challenging. So being over 6,000 feet altitude it is a workout.
Had not played here before. The younger guy at the cart barn was really nice when I pulled up. The layout was unbelievable. I recommend it for a little bit more intermediate than beginner players though. There were a few holes where it was pretty easy to go OB or water. Fairways were lush and the greens were pretty solid. Stay out of the rough! Little hefty price but worth it
Best course I've played all year!
This was easily the best course I've played all year out of the 15 places I played so far in Denver metro area. The conditions were in prime shape even with all the rain and no wet spots on the course. Got hit with rain and hail on #11 for about 15-20 minutes but course drained real well along with greens. Will definitely be back to play a couple more times this year!
Raincheck please
I was able to golf 9 holes out of my 18 holes That I paid for of this beautiful coarse! I was really looking forward to the back 9 But
Due to the rain and the very, very dense fog.
I would like to get a rain check for the other half of the golf purchased. I dont get out much but would love for it to be fof the backside of this coarse. The gentleman at the pro shop asked that I write a good review and Golf Now would honour the rain check. Which i did! thank you.
Will play again
Nice course enjoyed it.
The Ridge at Castle Pines North is Spectacular
The course starting with hole 12 was gorgeous creating a feeling of being more than a mile high up in the Rockies. Some of the bunkers were in need of more sand and/or TLC. A couple of them I hit out of were more crusty dirt than sand. I would play it again at a Golfnow discounted price. The regular rates are too high.
Nice course
Nice staff both in the club house and on the course. Overall course was in good shape. A few tee boxes were a little worn. Greens rolled nicely. If you can play it from the black tees and keep up the pace do it, it’s a much better view of the course. I’ll play this course again when in the Denver area.
What a gem
As we go deeper into the summer this course is only going to get better! Tricky tight holes and some of the better greens in Colorado. Love the driving range set up, Troon does it right.
Fun and beautiful!
Just a great day! Course is in great condition and the scenery is incredible. 4some ahead was a little slow which gave us time to get to know our playing partners. Cap it off with a drink on the patio overlooking g the 18th and the amazing view of the mountains. What more could you ask for??!!
