What a nice surprise
First time at club. The course was in fantastic condition.
Looking forward to playing again in the Spring. Pace of play was dismal - 3 group back up on a number of holes. Being the first time there, some holes were very challenging because they were blind. I think with playing it a few more times, would make it very, very enjoyable
Another great day
I enjoy Crystal Lake every time, the staff is friendly, the course is always in great shape
Haven’t even tees off yet
How about putting on GolfNow that the back nine is closed for aerification!! Nothing on Crystal Lake website either!! Drove almost an hour and paid full price of $57 to play the front nine twice!! Another reason among the many why I didn’t renew my membership.
try again
My main disappointment was that when I got to the course they were aerating the first 9 holes so in playing 18 I had to play the back nine twice. I think somewhere on the website I should have been told ahead of time. Also charging $19 for a golf cart seemed a bit excessive. The 9 holes played were very nice.
Unique and fun to play
I thoroughly enjoyed playing CLGC as the course layout is great, the conditions were excellent and the pace of play lent itself to a quick round. I look forward to playing here again.
Beautiful.. as advertised
Course is fantastic. Great layout and in great condition. Pace of play on a Sunday was very slow as to be expected, but maybe they could manage that better.
Rude, short, and none of the tee times available
Pro shop over the phone - rude, short, unfriendly and told me “don’t follow the golfnow times” even though their website points you to golfnow when selecting book tee time... maybe it’s a great course but wow no thank you after that encounter
Not a walk in the park
Yes it was a beautiful day weather wise and the staff was very friendly and accommodating however the pace of play was terrible. The course was booked solid and a round of golf took 5 hrs and 1/2 hours. Not sure what the slow play was caused by. Course has a great lay out but on all but the first hole we were. Banked up behind 1or 2 foursomes on the tee.
Great Course
I had a 7:12am Tee Time and was pushed back because of frost. This has nothing to do with the course itself but put me out with a tournament. The tournament players really slowed the round down. Other than that I highly recommended playing this course. Can’t wait to play it again.
