Golf Cart
We were a threesome, so you added another player to our group to make it a foursome. That was fine, but the starter had the 4th guy leave his cart and jump into mine.
Ordinarily, I wouldn't mind, but with Covid,, I didn't like the idea of sitting with a perfect stranger.
It's my fault, as I should have said something.
Other courses that we've played on always allow the 4th player to use their own separate cart. I think that Crystal Lake should do the same.
Very happy with course
My sons and I agreed that it was the nicest course that we had played all year and we'll definitely return.
Nice Track
I've played Crystal Lake many times from perfect days like yesterday to the pond frozen at 18. Great layout, friendly staff and reasonable rates.
Great Course
Crystal Lake is a great Course. The greens are not as easy as they appear. It's not long but is challenging. It was in great shape.
Good and bad
Course was in amazing shape and greens were really nice. There are a lot of cool elevation changes, but the layout, needs work. Two par fives on the front you are forced to play a long iron/hybrid off the tee. On the back nine, #13, I believe, I hit the ball right down the middle and had 86 yards to a tucked right flag position and had to go over a hundred foot tree. A mid to higher handicap couldn’t have hit the ball high enough to go over the tree to this flag position. Honestly the whole right of the green is blocked by this tree. They should take out the trees on the corner and put a bunker on the front corner. The same way that the bunker guards the first par five on the left side of the green. I was in it:( BIG DEEP bunker on hole 5.
Course is in good shape, fun to play
Conditions are good, greens are fast, fairways are awesome. Layout is good, some challenges, place the ball and you will be rewarded.
Overall a good course in good shape, with nice views.
SLOW PLAY ! Need Rangers !
We had a 1:57 tee time & were allowed to tee off 15 minutes earlier. The 4some in front of us were an elderly couple. In front of them were 4 walkers. The 4some in front of us had NO CLUE in golf etiquette and ready play ! It took us 3 HOURS to play 9 holes ! The back nine we skipped ahead and played the last 2 holes in 20 minutes! We saw some young kids driving the golf carts, so they definitely need some adult rangers to enforce pace of play ! Especially on the weekends !
Slow play
This was the third time we played the course and each time the play was so slow it was agonizing. For the second time we had a fivesome in front of us. No ranger to be found anywhere on the course. Nice course but unfortunately, the play was just too slow. Five hours and we did not even finish the 18 holes.
Great course
First time playing here. Great shape,, excellent layout and very friendly staff.
