Starting to burn up a little. With that being said, still one of the prettiest, best laid out public golf course around
Crystal Lake
Hardness of the greens and thickness of the rough made it extremely challenging
Great course but....
Great course but during a round of golf at 8am the landscaping crew should not be cutting the fairways/greens on every hole. Several holes had the sprinkler system on as well that created puddles on the green. That should not be occurring during early morning golf especially with no rain from the day before.
Change the landscaping crew start time and get the course ready for early morning tee time.
Nice course would join if closer to home
I like this course, always in good to great shape. Yesterday's round took longer 4 1/2 hours due to a couple of slow foursomes ahead of us and the slightly windy conditions. Have played with my wife as first group out and riding in under 3 hours.
Course is a little short so I play from the blues except on the par 3's. Just qualified for my senior discount, so drives don't get much past 200 yards anymore.
One thing we really like here is that when they aerate the greens their machine punches much thinner holes, so it's still very "puttable" day after aeration.
Finally in these COVID times, their two relatively large outdoor patio's made for a nice dinner after the round.
Crystal Lake, late spring.
Has a very cool layout and you can always expect very good conditions here.
Loved the Course
I live right donw the street and have not played this course except for a tournament years ago, did not remember it to be such a beautiful course. loved it.. great shape.
Crystal Beautiful!
Such a nice pleasant setting. Staff was very friendly. Course was in great shape tho greens were a bit rough but that was my excuse for not making putts. They had a small refreshment stand open on the course- a nice amenity.
Worth the trip...
Beautiful, challenging course. Pricey for a typical round in the area. I look forward to returning.

Great challenge, nice pace to greens,tough walking course but no carts due to Covid-19. Would definitely recommend
What a Gem!
Can't say enough good things about this course. Every whole was a gem. Great day. Played with two of the nicest folks you could ever ask for. It is too bad it took me so long to get around to playing here. Staff was delightful. A great day.

Nice layout great conditions. First time here but will be back. Very fair and very walkable. Pretty location.
