Great place for Fall golf
This is one of the best tracks in the Twin Cities metro area. The course is always in fantastic shape, tee to green. The setting offers beautiful fall foliage. The huge, undulated greens roll fast and true. The fairways are wide, but an errant tee shot will punish. You won't find a more friendly staff in the state. And don't miss out on the Cowboy Burger and the chili currently on the menu in their Slate North restaurant. Great 19th hole experience!
New ownership doing an awesome job
Incredible experience as always at The Wilds. They have stepped up their game- a cold water in the cooler and a bag of warm up balls in the cart staging area. Staff in the pro shop were super friendly. Greens were incredible, were rolling 10+ on the stimp in mid October! Pace of play was phenomenal, finished 18 with a stop at the turn in less than 3.5 hours
Great day of golf
Pace of play and conditions were excellent. Clubhouse was nice and restaurant had great food and drink options.
Once Again a Top 10 Public Golf Course in MN
New ownership group has made significant improvements in course conditions (love the new bunkers!), restaurant and customer service. Also now a part of the Public Country Club multi-course membership program. If you haven't been to The Wilds in a while, worth the trip. Has always been a top 10 layout, now, once again, a top 10 golf experience in Minnesota.
One of the best public in the Metro!
A true top 10 Public in the state! Fairways in great shape and greens roll true and fast. New ownership has recently put in all new bunkers and they are perfect. All around great play in a perfect location!
Still one of the best!
One of my favorite tracks in the Twin Cities! Course is in great shape, staff is friendly, and a great value with the GolfPass rate!
Sweltering Sunday
It was great to play the Wilds once again after a long hiatus. The course was in wonderful shape. Love the layout!
The only drawback was limited staffing. Only saw the beverage cart twice on an absolutely sweltering day. Only one person working in the pro shop and he seemed like he was having a tough day.
Absolutely wonderful course in peak condition!

Excellent Course Conditions after Bunker Renovation Now Complete
New ownership and management is making noticeable improvements to the course, clubhouse and overall golfer experience. Played in October 2024 and tee to green (and bunkers) were in great shape. I never get tired of playing this course. Mix up the teebox you play to create new hole by hole strategies for a wildly different playing experience.
Pro Tip: Located across the street from Mystic Lake Casino so enjoy a round of golf and the great food in The Wilds Pub then win all your money back to finish up the day.

Been playing here since 1998 and is one of my favorite public courses in Minnesota
Overpriced, Terrible bunkers
This course has gone downhill over the last couple of years. It has become very overpriced, and they have the worst green side bunkers around. They hard baked with clumps if mud. The greens and fairways are just they are just OK
