Compass Pointe was terrific. Each hole had some sort of difficulty added. Not just a bunker here and there. One hole even had a double dogleg. Great fun.
The Southwest course has its challenges but is forgiving
The course was in very good condition. Fairways were lush. Greens in good shape. I tested enough sand traps to give a hats off to the grounds crew for keeping them in pretty good playing condition. Our threesome maintained a good pace of play, not having to wait on anyone and not feeling pushed form behind. I’ll play here again.
Hidden Gem
Had a great time at Compass Point. Played the North East course and had a blast. The course was in great condition and I love the layout. Will definitely be back. A storm rolled in and forced everyone into the club house, but they took good care of us until we were able to continue play.
Bring your best
At age 63 with my power game not what it used to be, Compasse Pointe can be a challenge because all the par 5s are all well over 500 yards and most par 4s require a strong tee shot in order to be within 150.... still, the course is fair because none of the holes are blind and the fairways hold quite well, with little run off. Greens are quite large and sloping, so 2-putting can be a challenge if your approach is on the wrong side of green..... still, a fair course that is a true test of all golf skills.
Compass Point
The course was in beautiful condition. We played north/east. Very challenging from the white tees, especially the 585 yard dogleg par 5!
