Challenging course
Challenging course and conditions were good for early April. Sand traps were nice and soft. Greens were recently aerated but in good shape. Tees and fairways were in good condition. Overall will definitely play again.

Great Value
Compass Pointe is arguably the value you’ll find this area of Maryland. I played yesterday after a few days of rain. The first time I’ve played this course in this condition. I was surprised to find out how well it drains. The bunkers were slushy and muddy, we all played bad enough to go in the bunker lol. We were all astonished by how well the bunkers felt.
Compass Pointe is one of my favorite courses to play. I played the South West this time and loved it even in subpar conditions.

Play the Course
Played the course on midday Labor Day and finished in just under 4 hours! Great pace of play. Tee times are spaced out either 10-12 minutes as opposed to other courses that rush everyone to the first tee. Practice putting green was quick. Greens are the North/East course were consistent but not as quick as putting green. Course is in very good shape considering the lack of rain. Play the course and you should enjoy it.
