Decent day out
Very good value for the money, greens in great shape.
Pace of play is a bit of an issue
Common place anymore
New owners are doing great
Honestly since the new owners have taken over it has been great. i have not played here in years until my friend said new owners have really turned the course around. And they are not lying I honestly haven't seen the course in such good shape. Some rough spots here and there on the fairway. But other than that greens perfect and had a great time
Bunkers are “ hard pan” .. no sand.. plenty of sand was on the greens… insert sarcasm here!!
Pros and Cons to This Course
I've play Bay Hills off and on over the past 20 years, but generally only play it once or twice a year. I would recommend it, but there are caveats which are outlined below.. First the Pros...staff is friendly, the property is very pretty nestled inside a community, and the course was in decent shape. I was able to get a discount from $74 to $66 because of the Tee Time Digital Pass. Now for the Cons...the bunkers generally have very little sand and some are just dirt/mud and have weeds growing in them; the layout is pretty tight with narrow fairways and side-by-side holes (primarily on the back); the greens had recently been aerated and were pretty fast considering; and the course was in decent shape, but definitely needs some TLC. It's in better condition than previous years I've played, but still needs some attention. The one issue I have with Bay Hills is #10-#14--these holes run side-by-side and we had balls and players coming onto the hole we were playing from all different sides. (Other players couldn't seem to stay in play on their hole.) This caused us to have to wait to tee off until our fairway was clear and slowed us down, and backed up the course a tad (and there was no marshal). Again, I recommend the course, but know that it's tight, surrounded by houses (so don't be wayward--you might hit a house), and lots of doglegs and some blind shots with sloping fairways. It's a moderate challenge, but don't plan on gripping and ripping it! It has one par 5 and three par 3's--mostly all par 4's.
Don’t book late afternoon on league days
Course was good, staff was friendly, pace of play wasn’t good. Had issue w my booking. Hot deal booked for 140 and once checked in was told to have my cart back in by 5! That’s not the allotted time for a 18 hole I paid for round. Played single and rushed thru best I could, luckily teed off early. Recommendation; Pay attention or know their league nights before booking online.
Frustrated
The starter doesn't seem to be doing their job. Came off of 9 headed to 10 had a line of folks waiting to tee off. People who were not playing in front of us the first 9?
Waited 15 minutes to tee off.
We mistakenly paid for 5 golfers and it took 30 minutes to get our 5th refunded.
Thanks
Punched greens no mention or discounts
We had 2 4 somes. Spent a lot of money. You would think they would tell you and offer a discount for punching greens. That was poor on their part. We try and play every week there.
Poor greens
They are working on the greens and did not make anyone aware in our 4 some playing. We paid full price for an afternoon tee time and come to find out the greens were practically unputtable. They were covered with sand. It would’ve been nice to be made aware, as I would chosen to play elsewhere. Or atleast not charge full weekday prices for a course where all 18 greens are a beach.
Good Local Course
I live locally and try to play this course every other week if I can. I enjoy playing here and it’s a great course for the cost of the greens fees. Occasionally you can catch a good deal during the week but overall it’s not very expensive compared to other courses in the area. The course is currently in good condition and is very fun to play as an average golfer. Occasionally pace-of-play is an issue here but where isn’t these days? Nice water views on the front 9 too.
Clubhouse is clean, Pro Shop is pretty stocked and has some cool merchandise, food and drinks are good and reasonably priced, and the staff is all very friendly!
There is not enough sign board
Installed. .very confused to locate right
Staffs urged to bring the cart because of
league. We couldn't finish the course .
Not worth the price tag
I expect better course conditions and amenities for $74 a round. The area had a lot of rain recently and therefore standing water is expected but the new putting green was completely flooded which just screams poor quality. There was mud/bare spots all over the fairways, the cart paths were just pot holes and no signage to tell you where the next tee box is. Complete disaster!
