Heatherwood Hills Country Club

One of the things i enjoy the most about golf now is the opportunity to play Country Clubs. This course turned out to be an outstanding adventure and one that me and my buds have got to play again. It is tucked away in a well manicured neighborhood with rolling hills and narrow fairways. It is not the longest but definitely makes up in the course layout. You must manage the course through good iron play to shoot a good score.

Heatherwood Hills isn't a long course, but it makes up for a lack of length with a lot of tight fairways. The course winds around through a neighborhood, so errant shots are as likely to be lost as found. Accuracy is a must. You can almost leave the driver at home as most of the holes -- even the drivable par-4 sixth -- don't allow for driver off the tee. I found the risk far outweighed the reward any time I took out the driver. The greens are decent sized and were pretty consistent, leaning toward the fast side. I look forward to playing it again, but I'll wait until my game is in better shape and I'm hitting the ball straight. It was well worth the hot-deal price of $23 -- on a Sunday, no less.
