Course is in need of major TLC...

This was my second time playing here and I along with my playing partner, were very disappointed. The course has so much potential but there seems to be a lack of interest in maintaining it. the only good thing about the course was that the fairways were good. Other than that, I would not recommend playing here. The greens were horrific at best (seems like they haven't been watered in 2023), pace of play was out of control, the supposed course ranger did absolutely nothing but carry on conversation with golfers that he knew and the cart paths were flooded. There were some young gentlemen out there attempting to do maintenance but didn't look like they received any guidance nor was there someone out there to supervise them. Other than that, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I would love to play here more often but until the course conditions change, I will not be playing here again anytime soon.

Not As Bad As Reviews Would Indicate!

I must admit that after booking a tee time at Antler Creek, and only then looking at the reviews of this course, I was tempted to cancel my reservation. However, the date of play was a national holiday (Juneteenth), and the day after Fathers Day, and available tee times at any golf course were scarce. But, although Antler Creek has some quirky holes, and course maintenance could certainly be improved, conditions were adequate for an enjoyable afternoon. My group’s biggest complaint was the extremely high and thick second cut along the fairways, and we spent an inordinate amount of time trying to locate any balls that rolled into those areas. These delays were largely responsible for our 5+ hour round, and not any unmarshalled instances of slow play. The greens were not nearly as horrendous as some of the review photos would indicate, and most rolled acceptably. Another disappointment, though, was the lack of beverage cart service, and complete absence of any drinking water available on the course, and it was a warm and thirsty day - my group would have happily paid top dollar for a few welcome adult beverages during the round. In conclusion, it’s a shame that Antler Creek is not managed better - it certainly has the potential to be a better golf destination than its current state. I would likely play this course again, depending upon the price offering at the time of reservation, but it truly has a long way to go before it would rank as my first choice.

The greens are in very rough condition. There is not much good grass in the fairways, the rough had better grass to hit out of. The bunkers were like hitting out of cement. Very disappointed in the condition of the course over the past couple of years.

Worst Golf Course in Colorado

This place is a total dump! They very clearly don't care one iota about this"golf course.". Even calling it a golf course is a stretch. Worst shape of any golf course I have played in 27 years of playing golf. Crab grass and dandelions everywhere. Good luck finding a tee box with actual grass on it. Greens were atrocious, half dead, half weeds, so ridiculous. We didn't bother playing the back 9 after the 3 hour and 20 minute front. 3 groups waiting to tee off on first tee, because there is no starter. No pace of play because there is no ranger. This is not golf! A complete joke! DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE!!!

Needs some SERIOUS renovations

Absolutely atrocious conditions. Without a question, by FAR, the worst conditions I have ever seen in a golf course. The fairway is more dirt, sand, and rock than grass. It should be illegal to call those putting surfaces “greens”. 4 hours of absolute misery. I am embarrassed to have played that course. I would not play it again if someone paid me to.

Very disappointing

Visiting from out of town and looked for a place to play. Found this course and saw this pictures which is pretty deceiving. Very expensive course vs the quality of it. Greens and fairways were in terrible condition. Should be charging half of what they did. Never will return and wouldn't recommend this course to anyone

Rough

Course is in rough shape and the pace of play was terrible. Definitely not a $75/round type of course nor the $45 deal I got on GolfNow. It is a great layout which makes it sad that there’s no care or effort going in to maintaining the place. Dandelions overrunning the tee boxes and the fairways aren’t really grass, just weeds and clovers.

Dandelion Farm

Absolutely the worst course conditions I have ever played on. Most of the course is bare dirt. The balls bounce across the greens. I will not be back.

Worst Conditions In Colorado

Pictures on here make it look like a nice course. It is not. Greens had sand all over, super slow, uneven and uncut! Impossible to judge any putt. Fairways were all destroyed. I know it is early in the season but still just terrible. Never going to play here again I would recommend you don't either. Ill take my money back now thanks. I wish I took photos of what it ACTUALLY looks like to post here.

Great course layout, tough conditions

Love how long and tough the layout of the course is, if conditions matched the layout it would be the best course in the springs in my opinion. Unfortunately the course conditions don't match it. Greens are pretty rough right now, bunkers could use some finer sand as well. Hopefully with recent moisture in CO the course can make a good bounce back.

Terrible condition

I played this course in the middle of may. This course was in terrible condition in comparison to other courses in the area, On some holes the greens were somwhat un-puttable. The course has a excellent design and layout that is both challenging and fun but not being able to put without your ball bouncing all over the place was really frustrating.

Dry winter day

Was a fun day to get out and about on a cool day. Pace of play was tough as we watched a 4 some of golfers share 2 golf bags. The restrooms were locked, but will definitely come back in summer.

Antler Creek

Course is in pretty good late season shape. Greens were firm and fairly fast. Fairways had a few baring spots.

Tough course!

This was an extremely difficult course, and I am SO thankful we didn't walk it. It would have been impossible to have any energy left by the time you got to your next tee box. Skinny fairways, and no signage or course maps available unless you were using an app. Not to mention there were multiple pin placements that were a mere two to three feet from the edge of the green. I'm glad we were playing with someone who had played there before. The greens were in terrible shape, and there were too many places to count on the fairways under repair. Yes, it's late in the season, but there isn't an excuse for overgrown sand traps. There was no announcement from the starter, leading to a pile-up of players at the first tee. I will not return to this course any time soon.
