About
Stonebridge Golf Club is an Arthur Hills design that is one of southeast Michigan's best kept secrets. The championship layout incorporates the plentiful water and woods of the natural terrain. The white sand bunkers that are strategically placed throughout add a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the golf course. The undulating terrain is one of the layout's most prominent features. Elaborate hills and greenside swales protect many of the putting complexes. The putting surfaces on the front nine are relatively calm when compared to the back nine where most of the greens are double-tiered, ridged, or layered. The par-4 15th is one of Stonebridge Golf Club's most scenic and challenging holes. With water in front, back, and right of the green, this is one of the toughest approaches on the back nine.

Great test of golf
Right from the start the course challenges you to hit a golf shot with length and accuracy to set-up your second shot to a green guarded by a creek. This shot making is required through the entire course.
Played as a single and finished with-in 2 1/2 hours. Played through 5 foursomes of the nicest golfers I think I have ever met.
Bumpy Greens
Greens had been recently airated and sanded however their were many holes in the greens that had not been filled properly making it nearly impossible to get a true roll.
Also this course has a lot of doglegs to the right which is kind of unusual. It also has a lot of forced carries to landing areas requiring great accuracy in distance, not real easy.
Hidden Gem
Very nice course south of Ann Arbor. Reminds me of Pheasant Run, nice course, very well taken care of, running through the neighborhood. Staff was very pleasant, will be back.
Nice track, greens need divot repairs
Overall great value and place to play. Friendly staff. Golfers need to fix divot repairs only reason 4 star instead of 5 ,
Twosome Play
Excellent course & was in excellent condition. Played the gold tees (6,000 yds).
Really enjoyed the round. Played as a twosome & never waited on tee or in fairway. Had the course to ourselves.
SLOW SLOW
would never return Pace was extremely slow .We had 3 groups at the 18th tee box . Waiting for every shot . Never saw a single ranger.
Put out behind a LEAUGE
Everything was perfect through the first 4 holes. Then we (a 2 sum) catch up to a 4 sum on a par 3, and it takes them a good 20 minutes for a PAR 3. Then up next was a par 5 and we had to wait 15-20 minutes between every shot. We catch up to them while they were taking there sweet time at the vending machines.... I ask them if the "mind if we play through?" And they respond "sorry we are in a LEAUGE". My friend and I decide not to playa 4 hour nine and walk off. I RECOMMEND NOT BOOKING A LATE WEEKDAY ROUND
Nice course!!!
The course is absolutely beautiful. The staff is not all that friendly. We went on a Wednesday at 4:30p and got off the tee early. The pace of play was perfect for the front nine even with a foursome in front of us. The back nine no one in sight, we teed off and played hole ten, got up to hole 11 and there was a foursome of older woman no biggie. They all hit multiple shots from the tee box that went about 30 yards. They hit again from 30 yards out and made it another 30 yds and apparently into the rough because they spent the next 20 minutes looking for there balls. After about 30 minutes on the tee box we hit because they were on the green. Well we sat at our second shots for another 15 minutes then decided to just skip this hole and get ahead of them. Got to hole 12 teed off right away chipped on the green and putted when those ladies pulled up and told us we can't skip them lol they called the ranger who came and put us back on hole number 1 (that we already played) because there were leagues going on. Great course but they need better management running it. What a joke it was trying to get the back nine in.
Grounds crew were horrible
Played this course and for 5 straight holes on the front nine the grounds crew were working in front of my group on each hole. They are supposed to work backwards thru the course so you only see them once, but at this place the crew would work on the hole we were on and finish up and just beat us to the very next hole only to have to wait for them to be done once again for 5 straight holes. They wouldn't even move off to the side. Just continued to work as if no one was playing golf. Very frustrating.
Good Course - Great Value
Have played here many times in the past, Stonebridge is always in good condition. Rough is not long, but is thick, so you do pay if you miss the fairway. The course has some challenging holes and some grip it and rip it holes. Some water, some bunkers, some places where I shouldn't have been.
A course that is worth playing
Fantastic Fairways
Fairways were excellent. Rough was short but thick, so it made you pay. Was a very enjoyable course. Long course to walk though, as it runs through along houses etc. Glad I was riding.
Great track
I really enjoy this place. Golfnow is the only way to go.
friendly staff, nice course
Played thirty six holes and enjoyed them all.staff was very friendly and helpful, played with employee who was very helpful with course knowledge and overall nice guy. course was in good condition, rough a little high but understandable as course was closed day before after tornados and heavy rain.definitely would play again.
Tee Time Cancelled
Unfortunately, I was unable to play the course. I was called at 9:00 am to cancel my 1:30pm tee time. They cliamed they were closing the course do to rain and flooding. I believe it was because I booked as a single and they didn't want to accommodate a single. They then changed their 3:50pm tee time to 2 only, making me have to buy two spots if I wanted to play. I am curious how the course is closed at 1:30 pm, but dry enough to open at 3:50pm. only 21/2 hours later.
Great Value...well worth the trip!
This is one the best values on GolfNow. The course is in excellent condition! The greens run true, the fairways are in great shape and the rough is fair. If you like Arthur Hills courses, you must play Stonebridge. It's nestled within a neighborhood, but the houses are far enough from the course that you don't have to worry about breaking a window. Too many courses in Michigan have sand traps that are filled with rocks, but not here....the course has the best sand I've played so far this year. Challenging, but fair. I highly recommend./
Great value, lots of creative challenges
Many diverse challenges on the course -- forced carries from tee and on approach shots. But it also is wide open enough on many holes to be forgiving. Kudos to the grounds crew, this course was in excellent condition despite the recent heavy rains. A great value and fun round. Friendly staff, saw the drink cart at least six times during the round.
