Stonebridge Golf Club

About
Stonebridge Golf Club is an Arthur Hills design that is one of southeast Michigan's best kept secrets. The championship layout incorporates the plentiful water and woods of the natural terrain. The white sand bunkers that are strategically placed throughout add a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the golf course. The undulating terrain is one of the layout's most prominent features. Elaborate hills and greenside swales protect many of the putting complexes. The putting surfaces on the front nine are relatively calm when compared to the back nine where most of the greens are double-tiered, ridged, or layered. The par-4 15th is one of Stonebridge Golf Club's most scenic and challenging holes. With water in front, back, and right of the green, this is one of the toughest approaches on the back nine.

Great lay out
Nice course plays long from the whites and greens are a little Tricky but over all a very nice course to play.
Small, challenging greens!
The course was in excellent condition! Tee boxes and fairways were top notch with greens not overly fast but the contours subtle and challenging.
Held Up By Maintenance Crew
The maintenance crew did not let me play through making the round longer than expected. I took the first tee time of the day to play unobstructed. Unfortunately, I had to wait to hit into the green on 17 or 18 holes waiting on maintenance to complete their tasks and clear the green. Created a frustrating day on the golf course instead of an enjoyable one. I've played here 7 times this year and won't be back for awhile after the slow conditions generate not by golfers, but the staff itself.
Worth the drive
I drove up from Toledo to play Stone Bridge. About a 50 minute drive up 23. It was worth the drive for the price. The conditions were ideal and the course is fairly lush. Some tough holes with water but nothing crazy. First time playing the course with my own ball. I usually am at Stonebridge once a year for a golf scramble and it was a fun play since I don't usually get to keep my own score. Some undulating greens but they were fair. Not too fast. There are homes on the course but in general are not coming into play. A couple of the OB areas due to homes were a little close. The fairways are wide enough to keep you out of trouble. They do have a good banquet facility and I've had lunch there yearly for the outing attend. They do a good job and look like they're trying her. The courses maintained pretty well
very nice fairways.
I would highly recommend this course. Groomed fairways and challenging greens. This is as good as it gets. Without Golf now I probably would not be able to play on such a course.
Great Value
Budget conscious golfer here... I always look for this course to show up on golfnow.com because it's a great value. As a 300 plus yd driver of the ball it takes the driver out of my hand because of narrow fairways at about that range. Makes me use most of my bag. Great job to the greens staff.
Good price, good pace, great course
Got a good deal on GOLFNOW, first time playing this course and I can definitely say I'll be back to play again. Greens were in excellent condition along with the rest of the course. Book a tee time, you won't be disappointed.
beautiful course
As always, Stonebridge was in great shape. It is a challenge, and fun to play.
Well conditioned, excellent value
Course is well maintained and fairly wide open for a realestate development community course. There are a couple of quirky holes on the layout. Read the course book carefully if you're a first time player here.
This course is challengeing
Love this course. totally recommend it. Its not very difficult. You will definitely have a great time.
Great value great course
Nice course. Pace of play was pretty good but gad to wait a bit on a slower three some. Greens we fast but readable. Some holes were strategic instead of hit it as far as you can.
Stonebridge - a must play!
I was able to play this course at $25 w/cart when normally it is $55! Scored a 79 1st time playing.
It is a beautiful course. Extremely well maintained, the greens were perfect, and rolled truer than any greens I have played in some time!
There was a good mix of holes that were pretty wide open to ones that were tight and required a precise tee shot.
Beverage cart girl was present many times.
FYI -This is not a course I recommend to walk. The 1st & 10th tees are quite a ways away from the clubhouse, and there is a lot of room between holes as you have to cross between homes and streets seemingly on every hole. It would be a bear to walk!
Overall a great course to play and will do so again, but only through Golfnow.com as $55 is just too much to pay for golf anymore...
Beautiful course
Nice day, early morning round beat the rain. Knowing where to hit is key because of some hidden water. Would be great to have gps on carts for newbies to this course. Beautiful shape!
Challenging course buts lots of fun
This was my first time playing Stonebridge. It is very challenging for several reasons. There is water in play on over ten holes. The greens are sloped and some have two tiers. The rough eats your ball when you hit into it. With all that being said, I like the course a lot. The water makes for a very pretty course, the greens are well maintained and I need to hit better shots and stay out of the rough (and the grass in the rough was not long, just thick). I will be back to play here in the future and the $32 I paid through GolfNow on a Saturday was worth it considering the quality of the course. You really have to think through your shots and work to score well. The pace of play at over five hours was really our fault because our foursome played slowly.
Great course
Great course with a few quirks. If you don't mind large homes visible from every vantage point on the course, then you'll enjoy the challenge. Some par 3s & par 4s can play long for the average hitter and the greens can have some very tricky pin placements. This course is definitely worthwhile to play.
Regular guy
Course is challenging but you can hit a driver on most par 4's. The Golf Now deal was amazing for this top-notch course.
Well Kept Course
Course was in great condition. Smaller greens and very thick rough. Starter actually cared about the pace of play and hurried along slower players. Would definitely play here again.
Great course
Great course, fair for all types of players. Pace of play was little slower, but it was a Friday during prime time.
I took my wife who out , she is a beginner. The course was good as usual, but there were some places where the leaves made it difficult. We also experienced some rude golfers, but that happens everywhere. Overall we enjoyed ourselves.
