Stonebridge Golf Club
About
Stonebridge Golf Club is an Arthur Hills design that is one of southeast Michigan's best kept secrets. The championship layout incorporates the plentiful water and woods of the natural terrain. The white sand bunkers that are strategically placed throughout add a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the golf course. The undulating terrain is one of the layout's most prominent features. Elaborate hills and greenside swales protect many of the putting complexes. The putting surfaces on the front nine are relatively calm when compared to the back nine where most of the greens are double-tiered, ridged, or layered. The par-4 15th is one of Stonebridge Golf Club's most scenic and challenging holes. With water in front, back, and right of the green, this is one of the toughest approaches on the back nine.

Great Deal
If you can get on this course for less than $30 you should be locked up. It is an absolute steal. Nice clubhouse, nice practice facilities and the course is in really good shape. There are some challenging holes on the course and you can find some hazards if you don't hit some great golf shots. Rough is nice and thick and requires you to use the fairways. I will check golfnow daily for deals at this course.
Yes
This place is very good and very nice to play
I really enjoyed the course and friendliness of the people who work there
Great Course
This course is definitely worth playing especially if you can get a low-priced hotdeal. Even from the white tees, some of the par 4s can play long for some. The only negative I can present is that this course in built around a crowded well established community with homes on just about every hole so it's not the most scenic of courses. Views not withstanding, the golfing experience will be challenging.
Great course, but very tight play.
This is a beautiful, well groomed course. However, the fairways are pretty tight and it's easy to lose a ball. That being said, it's a great course.
U S oprn rough
If you miss the fairways, or greens you will pay. Really need to do a better job of cutting the rough. greens are slow!!!!!
Highly Recommended. Don't wear Green & White. This is a Go Blue environment!
Beautifully laid out course. Challenging yet played well. Bring the Big Dog on many holes. Par 3s were long--needed 3 or 4 wood on 3 of the 4 holes. I drove 50 minutes to get to the course....worth the drive.
Always a challenge
Enjoyed 18 holes with my son. This course is challenging but very enjoyable. With all the rain the rough was very deep. Felt like playing a US open with the deep stuff.
Will definitely play Stonebridge again this summer.
Big course but be aware of water hazards
Great course as you have a mix of difficulties to contend with including a lot of protected greens. Also the greens were ridiculously small on some holes that made flying the hazard, staying on the green then sinking the putt from your position usually on the fringe almost impossible.
But the scenery is great and overall the course is fun.
Water, wter everywhere
The course was in good condition for the time of year. It will be better in the summer. Water is in play on 15 holes. Greens were large and rolling.
Early Season, Yet in Excellent Condition
What a great way to open the season with a round on a beautiful, well kept course! The winter didn't hurt a single blade of grass or maybe it was the grounds keepers who are so adept at their jobs! PS I would upload a photo, however I left my phone in the cart. I only realized I left it at Stone Bridge when I got to my home in the UP. Those folks were jolly on the spot to let me know they had it! Thank you!
Nice Arthur Hills course.
Nice course. #1 is a tough start. Rest of the course is nice.
Greens were a tad slow
Very enjoyable and well maintained
Very nice course considering it was the end of the season, but it was occasionally scary with so many beautiful houses lining the fairways! I loved to see people fishing in the many ponds and lakes.
Great value
Great value for money. Very light play. Didn't see another group until 9th hole, then they let us play through on 10 and sailed through just over 3 hours. Staff extremely friendly. Course plays through large subdivision with quite a few sharp doglegs forcing strategy off tee. Local knowledge would have helped prior to first time playing course.
Slow play
Decent course the rough needs some work and the greens are quite slow. For the money there are far better courses in the area that are cheaper and more enjoyable to play. Over five hours to complete the round is to slow.
Great Course
Played on a Saturday after some heavy fog so all tee times were delayed by a half an hour. Luckily the groups in front of us had a solid pace so we were rarely waiting to tee off. The course was in very good condition and the staff were nice. Overall, a long, but fun day
Pretty, rolling terrain, nice, small greens, some holes tough to visualize if one hasn't played before.
As nice as the course was, I felt dissed by the pro shop as a single. No attempt to put me with other players. And when I was told to go to the first tee because a 2-some had just gone out, I found a 4-some playing the hole. After the round, I did not even get a nod from the pro shop guy or a "how did you like the course?"
Very nice layout
We have played this course about a dozen times. Being from Canada it is a bit of a drive but it is worth it. Looking forward to playing it in the future.
Interesting layout
Stonebridge winds its way through a private community of homes and condos which border most of the holes but are far enough back so as not to be a distraction. The holes are very challenging and have a nice mix of undulating fairways, grass and sand bunkers and water hazards so that you don't get bored! The fairways and tees are pristine. The greens are very lush but lack speed. I estimate they would "stimp" out at about 8. You have to hit your putts firmly to get them to the hole, even on downhill putts. There is not a lot of break on most putts, especially 5 feet and in. Longer putts are subject to the undulating greens but fairly easy to read.
The course is laid out so that the wind is in your face on two-thirds of the holes and a factor on most approach shots. Many of the greens are very small and require accuracy and distance control.
My son and I are both scratch golfers. We found the difficulty of the course from the gold tees very challenging. If you can't fly your tee shot 250 yards, move up to the blue tees. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Nice Course
The course winds it's way through the Stonebridge subdivision, if one of your players is paranoid about hitting a house, don't bring them here. One of the players in our foursome literally hit one over the roof of one house landing on someone's front lawn. (We think.) The course has a nice design typical of Arthur Hills, a little gimmicky in a few places but otherwise a nice course. Good greens; decent speed. Some water and sand traps too but not an overwhelming amount.
A Must Play in Ann Arbor.
Well maintained upscale subdivision course.Nice restaurant in Clubhouse.
