Fox creek
Enjoyed the round. Competitive for low handicap players as well as high handicap can score and feel good about themselves. Nice elevation and great greens
Awesome course
Excellent course conditions for this time of year, staff took care of us and made us feel welcomed. All l can say is fox creek is one of the best courses I've played all year.
Started solo
I was started as a solo because tee box was open but the twosome in front was very slow. They had no intent on letting me by or joining up so i had a twosome behind me that was waiting on the box every hole. They intern had a single behind them. Bad decision not to make a better effort to pair up people. Need a starter .Play got so slow that I invited the two behind me to join up at the turn. Turn was chaotic to say the least. They start Nine holers on the front and eighteen holers on the back. Not a good combo.Other than that course is good for a city track.
Love the Ceek
Long time livonia resident and have played here many time over the years. Fairways and greens are in very good shape. For the average recreational golfer this is a fun and challenging course. A great value as green fees are very reasonable.
Fox Creek
This course is very nice it's hit or miss on rate of speed sometimes you were at a normal pace and sometimes you're waiting 20 minutes a hole there are Rangers but they are in their own world the greens are in great condition but not very fast some holes are tight most of them are wide open so if you spray the ball you are fine food is little bit on the high side but I would only play the scores on a hot deal otherwise it's too high
Good Value
Played on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of couples and kids on the course. I was paired with a couple of other guys.
We still played in around 4 hours.
Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself Charlie! Thank you for pairing up and we hope to see you again soon!
Pleasantly surprised
Bottom line, this course exceeded my expectations. A good challenge to be sure. Well taken care of course. Falls prey to people not fixing ball marks more than some courses I have played.
Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed your time with us, and hope to see you again soon!!!
Fox Creek GC
We were a twosome so we ended up waiting behind all the foursomes so pace of play was not the courses fault. Otherwise, everything was okay.
Thank you for visiting us and glad to hear you had a good time! See you again soon!
Don't have a band play at the golf course
Don't have a band play on the golf course. Absolutely ruined the back 9. The course is very nice and fun/challenging. But seriously, don't have a band play. That is, quite possibly, the worst managerial decision in the history of all managerial decisions. I'm sure the people in the lawn chairs who were watching the band enjoyed it, but every single other golfer that I spoke with said that the band playing was one of, if not the worst, the worst managerial decisions in the history of all managerial decisions.
Thank you for your review of our course and glad to hear that you enjoyed the actual course.
I am sorry to hear of your displeasure with the band. As a municipal course we occasionally try to do new things with the local community. We will definitely take your review in to consideration for further events. Hope to see you again soon!
Overbooked slow play
Over booked slow play. Payed for 18 left after 9 prepaid so what choices do I have.
Thank you for your review Paul. Sorry you caught us on a day where things weren't moving as quickly as normal. Father's Day weekend is our busiest 3 days of the year and can sometimes be a little slow. Hopefully you found the course in great shape and will consider coming out again on a more normal day!
Great Greens
Greens were rolling as good as they ever have been. Course is in great shape, very impressive for a typically busy course. I look forward to playing their again next week
Thank you for the great comments. The greens are definitely rolling nice!!
Nice course for suburbia
We got rained out 14 holes in, which was unfortunate because the course is well maintained and challenging enough but still enjoyable. Very good value for the money too.
Appreciate the kind words! See you again soon!
Play this course any AM
Pace of play??
18 holes (by myself) 2 hours 10 minutes....
The other groups on course let
Me play through without an issue ....
Great value
Thank you for your review Kevin! Hope to see you again soon!
Good condition
With the weather in the low fourty at night Michigan Weather the greens and sand traps where in great shape. Nice maintain course.
Thank you Michael!!
Great shape for April
This was my first time playing this course at 730AM on a Saturday in mid-April. I played two other courses so far this year and this course was in by far the best shape. There were no bare spots on the greens and the rest of the course was in great shape also. With creeks running throughout and some water, the scenery was nice for the area. Would definitely recommend and I will be back.
Three wood course
Great course for the price. With the water everywhere for such a cheap greens fee it makes the course quite a challenge but not a bank breaker.
Windy day
It was cool and very windy, which made the course tougher than normal. Also, the greens had just been aerated, making putting extremely weird.
Course probably shouldn't have been open
I have played this course before and enjoyed it. There was a LOT of rain the prior evening and overnight. The course probably shouldn't have been open. It was almost unplayable. I've never seen so much water on a course. Almost all fairways had multiple large unplayable areas, even the "drier" areas were squishy when walking through them. Multiple sand traps had large amounts of water, to the point that you would literally lose a ball in a greenside sand trap. I would guess some wouldn't be dry for several days. I wouldn't suggest playing Fox Creek if there has been any significant amount of rain in recent days.
Fox Creek after rain
Nice course and layout. I thought that the greenskeeper did a nice job of making the course playable, even after some heavy rains. One observation: Red, white and blue flags.....is it too difficult to buy the blue flags.....they use yellow for the back pin positions and sometimes it is hard to see the color difference between white and yellow. Why not red, white and blue? Also, can you imbed one yardage sign in the par three holes so you can base your yardage off that? It is more of a guess than it should be.
Challenging, fun course
Fox Creek is in very good condition and we started as a threesome on the back nine. I f you play the tips it can be very challenging, unless you're a scratch or very good amateur. You need to know where the hazards are or trouble lurks in places not seen from the tee. From the black tees the driver isn't needed except on a couple longer par fours and the par 5's, but the risk/reward on the dog-legs are worth the challenge and very fun for the bogey golfer.
Thank you for the great review! Hope to see you again soon!
