Very Nice for the Money
The course was in good condition and the staff was excellent. The only problem was we had to repeat 9 holes because they were working on the back 9.We took a look at what they were doing and we are looking forward to playing the whole 18 next year.
Shot, Poor Condition, Slow Pace of play
I've played this course a few times a year for the past 5 years or so and this season the course is in the worst shape I've ever seen it in. Large patches of grass are missing around the edges of greens which effect play. The greens themselves are not very good and are playing slow and bumpy with missing patches of grass on some, unlike the usually fast smooth surfaces they usually have. The condition of the course is wet in some spots and bone dry in others which is a bad combination and not enjoyable for anyone. Also the Pace of Play if there is anyone playing is usually extremely slow for a 6,100 yd course. (4.5/5 Hours) I would advise playing Lakes of Taylor down the street over here any day.
Not long but tricky greens
Golfnow deal at $20.00/each. Course was in great condition today. Got a hole in one on #5 and shot 73. What's not to like?
Rangers are awesome, course is great but a bit of slow play
We played twilight and paid $21 with a cart, what was awesome was the rangers were so polite and said that we can play until 9/915. Pretty much get in as many holes as you can before sun down which was awesome! Also we had the first tee time behind the leagues so slow play was expected, many two somes, foursomes and walkers but the rangers told us if we get to far behind we can jump over to the back 9 and play. They did their best to accommodate and make us happy! A+ in my book. Only thing the rough was a few of the holes had ground under repair not sure if a pipe broke or what but overall great course for the cost.
Course is ruined.
Am currently on the course after paying 32 dollars and the course is absolutely ruined. The fairways have holes and cart tracks in them from letting players drive thru in the rain. I play at this course often and it will be a long time before I return.
poorly managed
Management had some sort of "special arrangement"
that allowed two groups of 8 on a hole to play in the morning so the whole course was backed up for hours!! Took us 5 hours to play on a Tuesday afternoon. I couldn't imagine playing at this course on a weekend. Not to mention the course is in poor condition and is laid out like a shooting gallery.
Packed Out
We were backed up from tee #1 all the way to the end. We had to wait on every hole. The group on front of us left without completing the course and we were still backed up before completing one hole.
Pace of play
The rangers need to be out more and keep the pace of play going. Foursomes that are too slow, should let you play through. Had to quit early in order to get to work on time.
A Little swampy
Course was pretty soggy (incl. fairways). Layout was nice, other amenities were nice. Pretty open course. Would definitely play here again, but maybe once the weather dries out for a while.
The course is very playable
The course was in very good shape.
Very Good Course
Enjoyed a great, late season round. It was cold to start so there were few people. We could play at our own pace.
The greens are in fantastic condition for so late in the season on a municipal course. The greens have not been aerated yet. They were rolling fast and true.
This is not a long course but lots of challenging holes requiring accurate setup shots.
I really love this course. It's a great value and I look forward to my next round there.
course condition
Tee Boxes were in terrible condition, rough was extremely long, fairways were in fair condition, and the greens were nice. Seems like the people that played the course were not aware of golf course etiquette, didn't fix ball marks on the greens or replace divots, also for example a group of 4 women stopped after 9 holes to have lunch for 45 minutes and went right out and started playing, backed up the entire golf course. It seemed like a party course. the layout of the course was good. Maybe better during the week, we played it on a Saturday.
Extremely slow
Be prepared for a 5 hr plus round. Every person that can't hit a ball 5 feet plays here. It's also like a war zone on the course golf balls flying all over the place. Course is extremely short from the tips.
Great "short" golf course
Course conditions and the greens make this a one of the better "short" courses in the area and the pace of play is almost always four hours or less
Great time with family
Course was a great buy at $12 a round love GOLFNOW
Challenging Greens, Fun Course
This is a welcome change from other courses in the area as it's not the longest (6,100 Yds) but the greens play very difficult because of the speed and slope. Any approach shot missed above the hole can result in a 3 putt if your not careful. The Greens rolled great and might be some of the best public greens I've played all year. The only complaint I'd have with the course is the lack of practice facilities with only a very small practice green offered, if you would like to warmup preround you have to use the other city owned course Lakes Of Taylor a few miles away
Great value greens excellent
Enjoyed course overall greens made up for length staff was nice good experience
Greens are in great shape
Nice course to enjoy with friends. Rough is rough, so hitting the fairway is a must. You'll need an extra club out of rough. Bunkers are well maintained.
Great course for the price
Taylor Meadows is well maintained and in good shape. The greens are a little difficult but manageable because they are in great shape. A lot of the par 4's are a little short so I was using the same 2 clubs on many holes, but this course is well worth the $$$ they charge. I will be back.
