California Golf Course

About
The California Golf Course sits on land that slopes gently and offers a nice view of the Ohio River; however, this course ain't just pretty to look at, but laid out to play in a manner that will test seasoned golfers and welcome novices to the friendly golf course where the trees are old growth.
California Golf Course provides 18 holes of par-71 golf over 6,227 yards. A round of golf kicks off on a par-4 hole that plays to 367 yards from the Blue tees. Because this is one of Cincinnati's longer municipal golf courses, power golfers will appreciate the chance to open up their games a bit more, with about a third of the holes measuring over 400 yards from the Blue tees, including a pair of par-5 holes, the second and ninth holes.
As the California Golf Course is a municipal golf course, expect low rates, and those who can swing a round of golf during the workweek can expect them to be even lower.

Great course.
First time here. Best golf course I've played in the Cincinnati area. Fairways are in great shape. Roughs aren't so rough that you can't find errant shots. Trying to figure out my schedule to play here again.
Only played 9 holes
Could not finish my full 18 holes only was able to get nine in because my buddy just wasn’t motivated enough had to leave for work…
Snack bar
Played 18 holes today came up to the snack bar to start the back nine went into grab a beer from the snack bar and the attendant was more concerned with having a personal conversation on her phone and taking care of me so I walked out and continued my was very disappointed in the customer service ….
Stormy Weather
Aside from almost getting struck by lightning California is a good public course to play. The course layout is pretty good. If I hadn't found a good deal on the GolfNow I probably wouldn't play there because I think the regular fees are a bit pricey. Plus they don't offer a veteran discount like most other courses do.
Would have been nice to know ahead of time they had the back 9 closed for maintance!
course great, DONT USE GOLF NOW!!!!!!!
California Golf Course was great. DONT EVER USE THE GOLF NOW GIFT CARD
NEVER EVER EVER USE THE GOLF NOW GIFT CARDS!!!!!
Pace of Play
Just about the slowest round I have ever played. There was 3 solos playing back to back. This is an old person course. Expect a 6 hour round and waiting 10 minutes every shot
Fantastic course
Geeens are fast, clean, kept up. Very nice views. Staff is very friendly and helpful
Play here if you need a shower
This was the worst experience on a golf course that I have had in quite a while. Played 18 holes with a cart which took 4-1/2 hours which isn't terrible but had to wait on every shot for groups in front. The worst part was that on 13 of the 18 holes my playing partner and I were dodging sprinklers -- both fairway watering and also on the greens. So this went on for over 3 hours of our round. Fortunately, it was 90 degrees out but still not fun. Also the golf cart needed to be stomped on the gas pedal at least three times each time we wanted it to move.
Carts, sprinklers and lack of communication.
We had to wait a half hour for a cart as they were all out of carts. Starters were friendly but did not tell us we were supposed to start on the back nine, had to overhear it from another golfer. Starter said we were to join with another twosome, so waited on the tee and after a long wait, finally checked with the proshop to find out the other twosome decided to go home because of the cart delay. Finally, as we were about to tee off, they started the sprinkler system getting us soaked.
