About
Crotched Mountain Golf Club is a classic Donald Ross design set against a beautiful New England backdrop in the rolling hills of New Hampshire. The course is situated at the base of a mountain, offering beautiful views of the surrounding Monadnock region. This peacefully secluded spot is breathtaking in the fall when the leaves are changing. The golf course has many unique holes that will test your skill with a variety of different shots. Mature trees line the narrow fairways and there are strategically placed bunkers flanking the greens. You will also come across the occasional water hazard. There are some challenging holes but Crotched Mountain Golf Club is a fair and playable round that will appeal to a wide range of skill levels. The practice facility at Crotched Mountain includes a driving range and two different putting greens, including one with a sand bunker for chipping practice.

Golfer Reviews
Waste of time and money
A friend and I took a day off from work to play Crotched Mountain...BIG MISTAKE! The pro shop allowed six golfers in three carts to go off in front of us and they hacked their way around the course for hours on end. The pace of play was ridiculously slow. Add to that piles of rotting grass next to most of the greens smelling like the city dump next and you have the makings for one miserable golf outing. Clearly the pro at Crotched Mountain doesn’t care in the least what is happening on his course. Come to think of it, I know why he avoids the course...it smells awful! Save your time and money and go elsewhere!
Interesting
Lots of side hill lies. Blind shots The only problem we had is that we got paired with a guy that was sooooooooo slow. If he hit a ball in the woods it became an Easter egg hunt. 5:15 round.
Holes need moved
The holes hadn't been moved in a while evidenced by the overhanging grass in the cup.
While we had 3 opportunities from the cart girl 3 times on the front, we only saw her from afar on the back.

severely underestimated
When I 1st arrived at the course I was amazed at the scenery, but was surprised by the ratings of the course meaning it wasnt considered difficult course, which to me was odd from previous experience with mountain course, well my apprehension was correct as the course layout was very demanding from blind tee shots to sharp dogleg and everything possible to make your experience good but difficult, the yardage of the course 6200 is by no way an indicator of its difficulty, greens were nice but hard to read, this isn't a critical review but more of a earned respectfulness, I would love to come back and play it again, as it was very enjoyable especially with the 2 other players I was matched up with, come hard if your gonna play here!

A beautiful day - nicely groomed 18 - beautiful vistas as well!!
Beautiful Course Condiditions & Scenery
This course is in beautiful condition. Love the beautiful scenery all around this course. Very friendly staff in restaurant and outside seating.
Nice course but tight fairways
Course was in great shape. Played a nice quick round. Course has narrow fairways that tend to slope so they are harder to hit. Greens can be small as well. Overall a fun course. Great view from the 18th tee box.
An old favorite...
Visit this course once or twice a year. Located in a beautiful setting with great views all around, especially from the 18th tee.
Course was in great shape and greens were consistent from hole to hole. Layout is fun with some blind shots and just enough water in play to provide a challenge.
Staff was friendly and polite.
Always a challenge
Think every shot through. Familiarity will definitely shave strokes, but don’t let that prevent you from giving it a try. If you like to be challenged, you will want another spin around this track. Course is in excellent shape as of July2.
The Hot Deal is a great value
I got a Hot Deal to play 18 with a cart at this course and it was VERY worth it. It was my first time playing Crotched Mountain and I would play there for full price any chance I can! Challenging course, beautiful setting, solid conditions. Highly recommend!
Beautiful course, but tough
Very hilly. Tough for an amateur's first time on the course. Beautiful setting.
Fun challenging scenic golf!!
CMGC has so much to offer. Prepare to use every club in your bag. All holes offer challenging terrain from tees to green in a great scenic New England setting. With continuous course improvements, friendly staff, and always visible hard working ownership Crotched Mountain Golf Club has become one of my favorite places to play.
Nice course poor pro shop customer service
Arrived at 1130 for 1210 tee time pro shop attendant on cell phone looked annoyed that he had to hang up and wait on me
No one on tee asked if we can go (2 of us) early seeing no one on tee or in parking lot getting ready
Told in arrogant manner we had fixed tee time and had to wait for 2 other players to arrive
When the 2 players arrived we didn’t know them and they didn’t know each other
One of them asked if he could play with the 1230 group which only had 3 he was told no because we had to wait for him
Really poor management decisions
Rest of clubhouse staff outstanding
I know they have new head pro if that guy is him good luck
Probably won’t go back
Perfect fall day
Course was in great shape, views were spectacular. Definitely feels like you're out in the country with endless fresh air, but not really as far as it seems, easy drive to get there. First time I tried walking the course, was surprised to find it much easier than expected. Play was a little slow, but the day was so nice it didn't matter. I really like the 19th hole - very cozy lounge and the food is great - it's part of a restaurant with a great evening menu.
