Slow play - no marshall
Was paired with two young guys - one a competent player and other was playing like it was his first time using clubs but he knew enough to pick up after so many swings not to hold up course… played at 1pm and there was 2 elderly guys - look like in their 90’s who could barely walk holding up course from hole 3 -7 - took almost 2 hours behind these 2 guys along with other 2 playing with them. The two older guys shared same cart and drove at pedestrian pace.
Finally got around them on 7 while they were looking in ditch for balls…after that smooth the rest of the way but felt bad for other groups that were behind them - they were in no hurry and did not look back to allow others to play through - one guys was too old to straighten up his back and was doubled over while walking and attempting to swing -
Course improvements
I’ve played Muni more than any other course since it’s my son’s favorite to play. I found the greens are in much better condition than they have been in the past and the overall condition of the course was better. Some of the tee boxes have been moved recently so it seems efforts have been being made to improve the overall quality of the course.
Solid Place to play a round
Went with a buddy of mine and had a great time. this is a city-run golf course and they do a pretty good job of taking care of it. however, the staff ALWAYS interrogates you when you play a round. from the clubhouse to the starter, i always feel like im committing a crime with all the questions they ask. otherwise a great place to play.
Greens in great shape, staff friendly as always
Course is in great shape right now. They have really done a great job with this place. Lovely staff always accommodating and friendly.
I really like this course. It was a typical Muni. The greens were very slow, but the fairways were maintained fairly well for the price point. It had a few dog leg holes, which was nice and the bunkers were maintained surprisingly well despite the greens being very tall, they rolled pretty well.
Course was ok
The course was in good shape. Due to rain, it was cart path only. The greens were very slow.
Easy Sunday Morning
Fairways are in great shape. Greens are much better. I would like to see a beverage cart come around instead of having to stop at the turn.
