Great Greens
The greens at the Muni are better than the more expensive courses I've played. Got a great deal at Golfnow.com and so it was even better.
Could be a great course
Nice layout. Well kept traps. Nice variation of hazards. Fairways in decent shape for this time of year. Greens were receptive to shots, but in generally poor shape. Some greens had several grass types growing. Some greens with sparse patches. All greens looked like they haven't been mowed for a week and we're slow. For $46 there are better courses.
Good Value at Jay and Lionel Hebert Golf Club
This is the oldest course in Lafayette and has hosted PGA tournaments in the distant past. It is named after two brothers both of whom played on the PGA tour in the 1950s.
The course is set up to challenge all levels of talent and does so fairly.
I play there often and recommend the course to all golfers.
Old Course
Course is located downtown Lafayette and is easy to find! For it’s length the challenge is still there! Course is in good condition but the greens are a little slow; but it is a week after a hurricane! Love the sweet ladies in the clubhouse!!
The Old Course
Hebert is really coming around but the greens are slow to putt! Short and sweet but she is still challenging! Always loving the Old Course of Lafayette!!
Muni
Course was in great condition. Play was just a little slow.
Muni Muni
A great little track always fun and challenging to play! Some of the greens are not quite there but give it a little time. Sometimes pace can get a little slow but still great fun! Everyone needs to experience Hebert Municipal: it’s Lafayette’s Old Course!
Municipal Review
It is a well-worth course if you go with the GolfNow deal of $25 which includes a cart.
Muni
The course was great and dry. It is in great shape!
This is a great walking course
It was my first time walking this course and I really enjoyed it. I played 18 in 3.5 hours. Besides a few greens with spots, it was an excellent outing.
