Fast greens!!
Been playing muni for a few years now and never played with the greens in the great condition it's in now. If you played there before and a lil after the shutdown then you remember how ugly they was. Right now I put there green speed up there with the farms and wetlands. New pro mr Chris is doing his thing
Course shape
The course is in fantastic shape and continues to get better. The weather was also a plus!
Greens like never before
I've never seen the greens in this condition. They were in great shape; and they were much faster than I've ever seen them. The whole course was in good shape.
Good shape
Hebert has always been a favorite of mine.
Since renovations have been done, this is a go to for me for not only walking, but a great value for the money.
Great Greens
The greens at the Muni are better than the more expensive courses I've played. Got a great deal at Golfnow.com and so it was even better.
Could be a great course
Nice layout. Well kept traps. Nice variation of hazards. Fairways in decent shape for this time of year. Greens were receptive to shots, but in generally poor shape. Some greens had several grass types growing. Some greens with sparse patches. All greens looked like they haven't been mowed for a week and we're slow. For $46 there are better courses.
Good Value at Jay and Lionel Hebert Golf Club
This is the oldest course in Lafayette and has hosted PGA tournaments in the distant past. It is named after two brothers both of whom played on the PGA tour in the 1950s.
The course is set up to challenge all levels of talent and does so fairly.
I play there often and recommend the course to all golfers.
