Fun practice course
Oak Knoll is nothing more than a practice course. Every hole is straight and wide open. Tee boxes and fairways are 1/10, greens are 6/10.
Still best course around for the price
I wrote a review about the last time I played there a few weeks ago. After playing today they fixed the only con I had(tees had no signage for hole/yards) every hole now has one. tee boxes were in great shape and greens were better then I’ve ever seen them(especially the 7th hole).
Best course for the money
This course my favorite anytime I’m golfing with someone new or trying to get a quick last minute round in. The course is in fair condition but for the price it’s great. There are a lot of elevation changes and blind shots.
The biggest con is that the holes aren’t marked so if you’ve never played there before you may get a little lost.
Nice course witth friendly staff
This is a very nice course for the money... Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed our round at Oak Knoll
Bumpy
I first had a problem finding the first tee, as there were no directional signs or no sign for the first tee (or for any other hole on the course). The greens were in decent shape but slow. There was no ruff. Most troubling was that the back nine fairways were extremely bumpy as I drove my cart over them. It seemed pretty clear that the course was built on a former farm where the furrows were never leveled before planting grass.
Good bang for your buck
Overall, the course is a fun time. The pay as of July 2020 is $25 for 18 holes w/ a cart. The mix of long and moderate holes is great for the advanced and intermediate players. The greens can be tricky but are large enough to compensate for loose shots. I am a local and will go again.
