Decent
For $20 golf now it was ok. Front 9 wasn’t bad at all. Back 9 was rough. Fairways are super bumpy, cart paths are very deteriorated. 4 holes all right next to each other. You get what you pay for and this isn’t the most glamorous course out there.
Hidden Gem
Had a perfect experience. The grounds crew works hard to keep the course in good shape. The people in the pro shop are super friendly. The course isn’t White Hawk but the fees aren’t either. I consider it a good value and will golf it every chance I get.
Huge fairways??
This course needs lots of maintenance. Most, if not all holes, had long grass on tee boxes and fairway grass was too long and unedged (like the holes were super wide and cut at somewhat like short rough grass). Lots of the ground was pretty bumpy - don't go here if you have back problems. There was a fair number of trees but somehow no shade to be found. I was hoping for a better experience but for the price I guess I'm not too upset, just don't plan to return.
Not Bad
Not Bad for the money. Tee boxes were dry and needed some water.
Overbooking
Love the course, but it was completely overbooked with multiple groups of 5+ holding up the pace of play. Ended up skipping a couple of holes because it took an hour and a half to play holes 10 & 11
The course tee boxes are not leveled the grass on the greens are heavy and the pace of play is slow.
Fun practice course
Oak Knoll is nothing more than a practice course. Every hole is straight and wide open. Tee boxes and fairways are 1/10, greens are 6/10.
Still best course around for the price
I wrote a review about the last time I played there a few weeks ago. After playing today they fixed the only con I had(tees had no signage for hole/yards) every hole now has one. tee boxes were in great shape and greens were better then I’ve ever seen them(especially the 7th hole).
Best course for the money
This course my favorite anytime I’m golfing with someone new or trying to get a quick last minute round in. The course is in fair condition but for the price it’s great. There are a lot of elevation changes and blind shots.
The biggest con is that the holes aren’t marked so if you’ve never played there before you may get a little lost.
