Awesome Day on the links, until
Great course, well maintained. Had 11 great holes, then a foursome of senior players refused to let our twosome through. They averages15+ minutes per hole (and they were scrambling). There was no one in front of them holding them up. There was a marshal cart at clubhouse but we never saw it on the course
Incredible Find!
Wouldn’t know about this course if not for GolfNow, and I’m already trying to figure out when I can revisit. Even though there was some maintenance happening on tee boxes, this place is such a hidden gem. Incredible views, pure greens, fun layout.
Make this trip. It’s worth it!
Best bang for the buck
Great layout and GolfNow makes it worthwhile with hot deals. I don’t mind driving an extra few minutes to play this course.
Beautiful golf course
Wonderful Golf Course. We’ve had lots of rain lately, but this course drains very well except for a couple holes. They have some of the best greens I’ve seen this year. The course has a very fun layout and is very well maintained aside from a little wash out on a few holes. Highly recommended, if you get a chance to play it. Definitely a Top 10 public course in Alabama.
Amazing Greens
I have played this course many times and it is in the best condition that I have ever seen it. Even though it got very warm I had a wonderful experience and look forward to coming back soon.
Let’s Play
Honest review:
Greens are better than most and the best I have seen at this course in a long time.
Sand traps are very good except a few have the liners exposed.
Fairways are lousy. They are basically green dirt.
Tee boxes are horrible. The course is residing some of the tees, but all of them will need to be redone.
The course wants over $ 85.00 on weekday. I can play many comparable courses for $45.00.
First round impressions
The fairways and greens are in excellent condition. This is a course I would like to come to every week.
Beautiful course hidden gem
Limestone Springs is a beautiful course in great condition . It’s a hidden gem . It’s not advertised as much as the Birmingham or Robert Trent Jones courses but is equal to or better than some of them .I played a high end course in Florida last week. I liked Limestone springs better and the green fees were less than half the price . It’s always been a scenic course but some past owners had let it go down hill some what . The new owners have obviously spent a lot of money on the course to bring it back to its former glory . I’d highly recommend trying it . You won’t be disappointed .
