Love the layout
The course layout is great. Most of the greens are good and it's a value.
Course not in good shape
The tee boxes were nothing but dirt. The greens were some kind of weeds and patchy clump grass. With burnt spots on most greens. Not worth $47 to play there.
Cross Creek 4/24
Fairways were very good, tee boxes were in bad shape……can’t place a tee in the ground without a hammer……greens looked better than the last time I played there maybe a couple of weeks but still need work. There were no water coolers for water at the water stations.
Great golf course near my home town.
Cross Creek is an exceptional golf course that is better maintained than other golf courses near by. Great layout with the holes and design that plays well for the amateur golfer. The only negative issue which is a small percentage .…
Is the size of the greens with a lot of slope which creates issues with sticking the greens on approach shots. Maybe a little more thatch management and aerification.
The greens were better shape than several courses I have played this early spring. 90% positive score from my reviews.
NeedsRain
The course is so DRY it is almost unplayable. The fairway on hole 4 has zero grass and should be closed The greens were in good shape 3 weeks ago. NOT NOW ……. The course added sprinkle systems all over the course but they must not be using them.
Great day
The course was in good winter shape and myself and my son had a great day no issues at all
Disappointed
Two holes were closed. All holes were cart path only when only four should have been Course in bad condition mainly because of maintenance ditches everywhere
Great track!
Cross Creek is one of the best shorter courses in the State of Alabama. The course offers great par 4’s and fair par 3’s. A great place to play and lower your handicap!
Slow play
I don’t understand why people want to bring there small child (toddler) to the golf course on a weekend when courses are at there busiest. I Don’t think the people at the course are aware of it and they don’t have a marshal ( that I know of). Normally there’s a group behind a group so at some point it gets backed up. This is not the only course that I have witnessed this.
Super nice course for the money. Greens are weathered from the summer heat but are actually pretty decent. Fairways are in excellent shape. Grat layout can be challenging at times with the up hill and down hill layout. Great value foe the price
