The Bluffs on Thompson Creek
About
The Bluffs on Thompson Creek enjoys a beautiful setting tucked away amid mature hardwood forests. Creeks freely meander throughout the golf course, interconnecting with the sparkling ponds that can be found throughout. The layout is an Arnold Palmer design that takes advantage of the hills, bluffs, and hollows of the varied landscape. You face uneven lies and a few blind shots thanks to the terrain but you'll also get scenic views of the surrounding area. Accuracy is important to have but it's not an overly punishing layout if you happen to be errant. The golf course has a challenging start with an uphill par 3 as the opening hole. Another memorable hole is the par-3 eighth, which features a 50-foot drop to the fairway below. It's both an intimidating and beautiful hole.

Great Course!
I've played the Bluffs for the past 20 years and the course is in above average condition. They're gearing up for an LGA event so they are letting the greens grow out a bit, but still worth playing. Fairways and tee boxes are in very good shape.
golf now
Im a believer. This is now the only way I will book my tee times. Thanks Golf now for allowing me to experience this course which is normally a little to pricey for my taste to play a round of golf
Challenging but enjoyable
Great experience playing this course. Plenty of challenges with tight fairways that rely on accurate tee shots to set up for any sort of chance at reaching the greens in regulation. Greens were in great condition, and offered tough, but manageable putts. Will definitely play again.
Best Coarse for the Money
I found this coarse on a hot deal for $26. WHAT A STEAL!!! I would compare this coarse to TPC Louisiana. Absolutly stunning and very challenging. Worth every penny. I have payed $100+ for coarses not as nice as this. I'll play again in a heartbeat.
Great value
Late morning tee time. Course was wide open. Had one twosome catch us on the 18th. hole. Great value for the condition and quality of the course. Played 2 other highly ranked courses in LA & MS. This was by far the best course we played. Would play it every day if I could.
Great Layout!
Everything about the course and facilities is hard to beat. My only complaint was the absence of sand in the bunkers. Overall, I'd give the resort better than 4 out of 5 stars. If the sand traps had sand in them, it would be a 5 star golf resort.
Course is in very great shape
Awesome round made my first Hole In One on hole #7!!!! The course is in great shape greens are a bit sandy as they had just aerated and fertilized but overall in excellent condition
Great Value on Golf Now
A friend and I booked a round through Golf Now for $19 each, an offer made because the greens had just been punched. There was some sand on the greens which slowed the putts down, but the putts rolled true and did not hop or bounce around. The course was in great shape, especially considering there had been a massive storm two days earlier. The staff was spectacular in both the pro shop and the restaurant. Playing here is usually pricey, so very happy about the deal on Golf Now.
Great Course
Distance to course worth the trip! One of the best courses in the area
Patience is Golden
Beautiful layout with challenging yet fair golf holes. If stay in proper mental zone, very rewarding results. If try to play beyond skill and hit spectacular shots, will pay for it. Only drawback is neither the tee box nor scorecard give you a layout of each hole to preview hazards.. Pro shop does have course book for purchase. Regardless of your score, scenery is beautiful.
Course is awesome (BUT)
The course is awesome, BUT the bunkers are in terrible shape, just dirt & thousands of rocks, which changed mode of play because rocks will damage club face.
Excellent Course
Went with 3 friends and totally enjoyed ourselves. Course is in excellent condition and the facilities are extraordinary. Stayed for lunch after our round and the food was excellent as well!!
Tough course.
Tight. They don't call it the Bluffs for nothing! Huge greens. Be accurate off the tee. I will go back!
The course has a good look
The course makes you think about course management. Loved it!!
yes yes yes!
One of the nicest course I've played in years. Breath taking scenery, especially the par 3 17. Definitely going back in the near future.
Rainy days
Rainy and wet. Greens were very nice. Except for the weather it is an excellent fun course to play. Enough for anyone from the tips
Winter is coming.
Lots of brown grass and leaves due to fall weather. But most courses nearby in Baton Rouge are still green and well maintained.
Picturesque and course is in very good condition
10/23/2013 - Took advantage of a beautiful fall Wednesday to play one of the more scenic golf courses around. The course was in very good condition and the weather made it that much more enjoyable. Very little traffic in the way of other golfers since it was a mid-week round. If you haven't played The Bluffs, I highly recommend this course. Check out the restaurant too as they have an excellent burger.
GREAT ROUND
VERY NICE COURSE AND NOT CROWDED. ROUND WAS TO SHOW MY SON WHO HAS A SCRAMBLE HERE LATER THIS MONTH, THE LAYOUT OF THE HOLES. AGAIN, GREAT ROUND AT A VERY AFFORDABLE PRICE.
