#9 green, right in front of the clubhouse was by far the best conditioned of the day! Photo submitted by u547358672 on 03/15/2023

Always Good, Go Play
Prefer this track when the nines are switched the other way. Its just more fun finishing on the more dramatic hole beside the pond and in front of the clubhouse.
At least the experience quality is consistently good enough to make me happy to come back again!
Great Course
Had a lot of fun. Great course. Greens wowere in good shape along with the fairways and tees.
Descent shape for the conditions
The greens are good, but the fairways are getting very hard and are hard to hit off of.
Cart Path Only!
So this dried out dead grass track wants people to stay on the cart paths. The fairways are completely dead. The Marshall comes up and tells me because of the drought they want people staying on the cart paths, I asked why? He told they think they’ll create pot holes in the fairways.
I told him if it’s dead grass and hard dirt who will a cart create hole in the fairway? He didn’t have a answer. The course isn’t worth $40 a round in my opinion, I’ve played all over the southern United States these past few months. Grey Rock is a last resort course. Go to Avery Ranch or Falconhead instead.
Fun course
I was late looking for a tee time for an out-of-town friend and myself to play on a Saturday morning. Fortunately I was able to find an 8:30AM tee time that randomly became available. We were paired with another twosome who were very nice. The pace of play was great. Just at 4 hours for the round. The course is in great condition especially for not having rain in over 60 days.
I feel like $83 for a round is a bit expensive but I feel like golf in the Austin area is expensive compared to other larger cities.
The bev cart came around several times during our round, which is always nice. And, the girl was super friendly.
Didn’t get a chance to visit the club house other than to check in, but overall it seemed nice and very clean.
Looking forward to playing here again.
Great Course!
I’ve lived only 10-15 minutes away from this course for the last 10+ years but never have been this the other day. Great course! Got paired up with a threesome and we all became great friends at the end of the round. Course was in good condition, bunkers were a little eh, but it did rain the day prior, so that was understandable. Fairways were cut pretty tight and firm, and greens varied in speed between the holes. Pin locations were pretty good too (especially if it is in the front).
Golf course
My fifth day of playing golf unfortunately has just ended at Grey Rock Golf Club with a fantastic round of golf. Austin Texas is great city, everyone I met was very friendly and welcoming.
Why still No water cooler?
I come here often because I live close by.
Course is in fair shape or good condition for Texas over 100degree summer.
Since COVID-19 start all the waters were gone from the golf course I understand that but now no longer mask is required and you supposed to ok to share the golf carts with someone you don’t know but why is there’s no water cooler ??? 100 degree hot summer!! Not even Ice in the ice cooler .
what’s got to do with disposal cups water cooler and Covid?? When you can share the carts and cart girls handling you drinks and money whole course? And not even often you can find them .
But sure green fee went up a lot .
