This is Andy. He's in sales and is somehow always 'working' when we're playing golf. He can almost never be tagged on a Facebook golf course check-in during a weekday. He's 'working.' So here's proof that he was out with us playing golf yet again. :) Photo submitted by GordonATX on 09/08/2018

Great winter condition Photo submitted by jimpham on 01/07/2017
Good Value
Played as a threesome. Pace was very good on the front nine, Slow on the back nine due to very slow threesome in front of us. Never offered to let us play through. Very hot but course was in pretty good shape. Greens and tees very good, fairways a little dry. Will play again.
Great day of golf
We have the pleasure of visiting Austin yearly. Last time this course was closed for renovation. Luckily this year we got to play this fun and scenic course. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape considering how hot and dry it's been. Greens rolled true and the traps were in good shape. Played course in 3:45 with all players in front and behind moving accordingly. The staff both inside and out were friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come back
Good condition but…
Conditions are very solid. Only issues with this facility is that there are no water jugs in 100° Texas heat. Saw a beverage cart once in a 5 hour round that we had to wait for every shot.
Great Greens!
Good course layout and the greens are very well taken care of!
Kizer is is good shape.
Great looking / open golf course. Staff is ehhh. But overall kizer is one of my faves.
5 Hour Round
Waited every single shot for 18 holes. That has never happened to me. The course only cares about money, and keeps tee times 10 minutes apart, sometimes putting groups 5 minutes apart.
If you want to spend the day waiting, then go to Roy Kizer.
Aside from the water, it's great for scrambling
The course is looking really good right now. As most of us know, it certainly sees a lot of players every day. This was our first time back since they shut it down for some renovations. A few of the tee boxes were overly beat up. Again, that's likely seen on par-3's as some of you 'pro' golfers think you're actually good at hitting off the grass rather than using a tee. :) Maybe give it a try -- you just might like it. Question -- why is #16 cart path only? I think it's always been like this. But why? Afraid we'll drive over the rolling hills on the left side and not get back? Aside from that, I just can't see any reason to limit such access. Question -- why is the big tree on the corner of #17 still there? Looks like it took a beating during the last ice storm. Will it live on? Is it worth keeping around? I know a lot of us would prefer it be removed as it's certainly knocked down its fair share of balls over the decades. We all hate it. :)
Great public track
Not like anything else I’ve played in hill country. Open but challenging.
Great course
Beautiful course with a nice staff. Greens are slow and patchy just 1 year after returf.
Good but sad
Roy kizer is one of the most beautiful muni’s in the country. The fairways were in great condition and the pace of play was right at 4 hours. Staff is friendly
What I can’t understand is how the city paid to redo all of the greens not even a year ago and they are already losing them. Almost every green is dying around the edges and has dead spots. When first replaced the greens were rolling fast and true. Now they are back to bumpy and slow.
Don’t bother
Greens were a joke !! Hard as a Rock, and very little grass ! Fairways were pretty much the same way, and they charge $40 for this ?!!!
Nothing special
I wouldn’t recommend playing kizer unless it’s $25 or less. The greens & tee boxes are really bad.
Per usual, the lady in the pro shop is unpleasant to deal with
