Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Course is a little less taken care of this year, over previous years, especially along the edges, and driving range.

Some greens were absolutely terrible due to many ball marks. Putting these greens was an adventure, not expected on this supposedly, better than average golf course.

First time playing here. Enjoyed the course. Could tell the weather has been cool and wet, because the overseeded fairways are a bit sparse in places. Greens were very fast. At the price point of $50-$60, I'd play here again.

Glad I tried it

Course is in excellent condition all around. Despite an early AM tee time, it wasn’t saturated and the ball was rolling well in the fairways. Bunkers had actual sand. Some greens had a minor top dressing that didn’t affect the roll much. Carts are almost new. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Our foursome finished in less than 4 hours. You can tell they pay attention to the details when maintaining this course which makes it aesthetically pleasing. Their rack rate is steep for the location but the conditions make up for it.
