About
Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, Mountainbrook Golf Club offers a player-friendly course with beautiful views of mountains and desert hills. Given its location, the golf course is mostly flat, making it a nice walk. The layout combines that of a desert course and a mountain course for an interesting variety of holes and challenges. The fairways are relatively wide and some are lined with trees and the fairly large greens are sloped and fast. Sand bunkers are situated throughout the course and two lakes create water hazards that come into play on the back nine. Mountainbrook Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 16th, which has a dogleg left fairway and a green that is well guarded by bunkers and mounding.

Flip 1 & 10 back
Course was a little thin coming off overseeding but was still pretty good. Greens weee also good and would hold wedges. The only complaint is they need to flip 1 and 10 back to the way it use to be because teeing into the sun in the morning is brutal, you can’t see you tee shots at all.
Enjoyable Round with Golf Now prices
Friendly staff, great online price. Good conditions after overseeding and some beautiful views. Will be playing multiple times this trip.

Fairways improving Still confusing with duo markings since reversal of course.
Inconsistent yardage markers. Hard to find/see.
Starting times
This was 3 times in a row that when we teed off it was 15 to 25 minutes behind schedule
Great Views and Good Course Condition
Other than the disgusting smell of the waste water treatment facility at the west side of the course, I really enjoyed playing the course.

Super friendly staff, course in great condition, towards the end play got slow nur the marshal was there to speed up play.
Top 5 Value for the Money Course
Good mix of narrow and wide fairways, beautiful greens that maybe need a bit of speed to make the complexity more enjoyyable, good bunkers and locations, so only missing a bit more water as only 2 holes with water
Signage
The course was good overall for the money, however there were no tee box markers and the start was on the tenth hole, which no one informed us on.
There is also no beverage cart and it takes to long to get a snack from restaurant before starting the back nine.
Still Needs Time
Course was still recovering from overseeding, with Cart Path Only conditions in place. Tee boxes and fairways were thin, while greens were sparse and sanded, making them slow. Sand traps were inconsistent in depth of sand, with some being quite wet. Pace was fair (4:10), with value being fair. Give it two more weeks and it should be in much better shape.
Just played
This course was nothing special compared to all other courses in the area and in Phoenix area. Sand traps were terrible. No sand.
No one at bag dip or to clean clubs after. Wry disappointed
Awesome Course
We had first tee time and the course to ourselves! They had just reseeded so cart path only.
greens were slower than usual. I liked the mountain course the best! Great views!! I'll be back!!

The course was in excellent shape. It was our first time there but it won’t be our last.
