Starter Doy, was roped off, wore gloves and masks following Covid precautions. Felt very safe. Even the practice greens were had physical distancing rules posted around the greens.

Kudos to the starter, well organized, and super friendly. Will definitely return.

The young lady on the lawn mower followed us around entire course mowing tee boxes slowing us down and wouldn’t shut mower off while we tried to tee off

First off I want to say it was cart path only and we played in under 4 hrs. My complaint is they kept on sending out singles and twosomes. We finally just let them wait. I don't like to do that but it's not like we were playing slow. Starters need to either combine some golfers to make larger groups or let the twosomes know they are going to wait

Course was in terrible condition. I ruined my 7 iron in the fairway from hitting one of the many many rocks. They did have vending machines @ 10 and a beverage cart though.

Rained a lot the day before and during some of the round. Tee boxes were ok. Fairways ok. Some grounds under repair. Even as wet as it was. Greens rolled really well. Some holes are tight and surrounded by houses. Got some fans on a birdie chip in. I liked the course. But for the money ...... I won’t be playing it again if Maryland opens back up.

only play here about 1 time a year if i get a good price then i wonder why i played. friendly staff as always but course is like a mediocre muni ,not much sand in the traps, patchy inconsistent rough, patchy fairways, and target golf layout.

Second time here as as we explore VA courses, which are among the only ones open in the region during the pandemic lockdown. Lots of water, which can frustrate the mediocre golfer on a bad day. The highlight was the greens, which are wonderfully kept up and roll fast and true. Impressive. Getting to the greens is another matter, however. The teeboxes are a bit of a mess, with many, many divots and no new turf added recently. Likewise, the fairways are patchy in places, so we liberally allowed a few ball repositionings off hardtack ground or divot trenches. The newly added turf around some greens and in one fairway appears to be dead or dying, so we were left wondering about basic upkeep in the Covid era. But overall, loved the challenge of multiple shots over water and several very long par 3’s. You pay in advance, so no need to enter the clubhouse.

My family and I are grateful this course is practicing Social Distancing (prepay only, no rakes, no scorecards, no touching the flag sticks, etc.) while still open for play. It was very therapeutic to have a few hours of normalcy during this unprecedented time!!

Where do I begin. We teed off Tuesday morning without being told or alerted that there were no flags on the course and just holes. The only course in the area to do this and they acted like it was no big deal. On top of that, they put the flags in the holes when we’re on 16! So we went all day hitting at greens with no target, then get flags for two holes. Absolutely ridiculous to put the flags out mid day when everyone already paid and played all morning without them.

Believe it or not it gets worse. After talking to a Marshall and letting him know our frustrations, the alleged GM, Bry (?) comes out and basically told us to shove it. Not only did he say we were “lucky just to be out here” and “if you can’t handle it you shouldn’t play”. I proceeded to let him know I worked in the industry and I understand these are tough times but the way they have handled it is awful. He followed that up by THREATENING me and asking who my employer was so he can “call them and talk to them.” Never in my life have I been treated this way by someone in a management position.

I am absolutely blown away that this supposed general manager would speak to a PAYING customer with such unprofessionalism and blatant disrespect. Avoid this course at all costs.

Recommendation would be yes but for: Removing the pins as a 'social distancing' measure kinda threw out the baby with the bathwater - particularly for this course, which other has really good, fast, undulating greens. w/o knowing hole locations, approach shot selection was random and pointless. Maybe management could provide pin sheets? Or better yet, do what other courses have done - leave pins in, tell players not to touch them, and use spacers (eg cut-off pieces of pool 'noodles') to keep ball falling all the way to bottom of cup. Loved layout, greens fast, fun, challenging.

We were a couple, to start off they let a foursome tee off in front of us, they quickly got 4 holes behind by the 6th hole and would not let us through so we skipped a hole, rude, I think we were the wrong nationality. we couldn't tell if the outhouses were cleaned last year or the year before, full does not even come close to describing what I saw. There were no flag sticks, hey geniuses who run the place, just tell the golfers not to touch the flag sticks if the are worried about catching the bug, jeez. There were no scorecards, do you have a printer and old scorecard? We won't be back, oh yea, a hamburger and fries for two was $36.00 with tip...

Right now, my weekends and workweeks all blend together. Very thankful a few courses in the area, including Penderbrook, have figured out ways to stay open and yet maintain good hygiene and safety measures to allow us to play AND feel safe. We DO appreciate your efforts. Also, your greens are in better shape than any other course I've played so far this year, so kudos to the grounds staff as well.

Layout of course very good, shorter but water and new traps challenging . Automated tee time and paying so minimizes human interface during this time. Wipe down carts. Normally staff that is friendly. Told will be back when ok . Total experience very good , especially in this environment. Can't wait to play when full staff is back and clubhouse and restaurant is open again.

Nicely maintained, short but with some very challenging water shots and a couple of long par 5s. Modest and unassuming, like the development it is in.

The course staff did a great job well coordinated we enjoyed the round! Thanks!
