Nice Course
First time playing here. Teed off at 7:20am on a Wednesday. Pace of play was great, layout was cool with a few fun water holes in a row. I also saw a nice variety of wildlife. There’s a bar/grill attached to the clubhouse that looked cool but I did not eat or drink there. Besides a few holes with large areas under repair, the course was in great shape. It has been very dry and hot lately but they’re keeping up on watering. Greens were quick once it warmed up. Tee boxes were in good shape. Overall a good course to play.
Great Conditions
The course was in great condition! The fairways and tees were all in great shape and the greens rolled pure.
It was also very organized when we got there with the starter pointing us to our cart and letting us know who we were playing with.
Penderbrook Golf Club,
Thank you for taking time to review us and we are glad you enjoyed your experience.
We look to see you again soon!
Half the fairways should be half the price
$95 for just about half of every fairway and around every green is ground under repair. Maybe this is a $95 course when not under construction. The "hitting net" didn't even have free balls, so we had to hit our own and dig em out of the mud.
Penderbrook Golf Club,
Thank you for taking the time to review us.
The only holes that have new sod in the fairway are #1 & #17, and hole #7 green surround is ground under repair. All of this work is an effort to improve turf conditions in those areas or expand the fairway to make it wider.
We do not provide golf balls at the practice net because they would be taken, unfortunately, which is why we ask customers to use their own golf balls.
We do understand that GUR can be frustrating, but we try to only do a couple sections at a time to minimize the impact on players.
Please email info@penderbrookgolfclub.com as we would like to discuss your experience further.
Have a great day!
Saturday Round
It’s a challenging course. There is a lot of ground under repair right now, but it speaks to them trying to maintain and improve.
Poor pace of play and golfer etiquette
The pace of play yesterday was super slow. We finished the course in 5hrs. There was a group of 4 in front of us that took their sweet time. There was also a twosome behind us that didn’t have great etiquette that hit balls toward us while we were on the green.
The grass all over the course is super long and we lost so many balls on the first cut and shallow rough areas. There were also a lot of brown patches that they were re-sodding which will probably look good in the future but it was a bit of an eyesore.
Would I play here again? If I weren’t paying, yeah.
Penderbrook Golf Club,
First off, thank you for taking time to review our course.
Pace of play is very important to us, and looking back at our cart GPS, we can see that your round took 4:38 to complete. Although this is longer than our set pace of 4:00, on extremely busy weekend days there is the potential for rounds to take longer. There were groups for every tee time from 7:00am to 4:50pm, so the group in front of you had someone in front of them as well.
As far as the group behind hitting into you, in the future, please call the pro shop immediately and a staff member will talk to them right away. The safety of all golfers is paramount.
If you could please reach out to info@penderbrookgolfclub.com as we would like to discuss your experience further with you.
Have a great day!
Worth driving a few extra miles!
Course was well maintained for the most part. There are still patches "under repair" that can get in the way of play.
Enjoyed the day, would go again!
Penderbrook Golf Club,
Thank you for taking time to review us! We are glad you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.

Disappointing
Been a few years since I last played this course, will not play it again. Horrible condition.
Penderbrook Golf Club,
First off, that you for taking the time to review us.
We do understand that some of the ongoing sod work during the time you played could be frustrating, but we did try to inform everyone booking about the improvements we were working on with tee time alerts and notes.
If you could please email info@penderbrookgolfclub.com to discuss your experience further.

Happy golfer
Course was much cleaner compared to the last fall when I played there. I wish they would add hole signs for each hole with distance for different tee colors, like other golf course...currently you have to rely on your score card.
Penderbrook Golf Club,
Thank you for taking the time
to review us! Thank you for your feeback and we feel that using the scorecard for distances is the best option as it can be hard to see tee signs from all tee boxes.
We are glad you enjoyed your experience and hope to see you again soon.
Have a great day!
Course under repair
The upcoming additions of deep pot bunkers will be fun, but as of now there is a lot of grounds under repair, super dried out yellow fairways, and mud patches. The staff are great and the bar and pro shop are good. We saw the ‘cart girl’ 3x which is rare in courses around here. There is also no driving range which is a real bummer if you want to warm up pre-round.
Penderbrook Golf Club,
Thank you for taking the time to review us and thank you for the feedback. The yellow grass you see is dormant warm season grass and is normally dormant during colder months. The ground under repair are newly sodded areas and are part of our course improvement efforts to improve turf conditions throughout the year.
We tried to inform all players about the ongoing course improvements with tee time alerts and course notes online.
If you could please email info@penderbrookgolfclub.com to discuss your experience futher, that would be much appreciated.
Have a great day!
OVERPRICED
The management here has the audacity to charge $60+ for a course that’s still under construction, has no grass in the fairways or around the greens. It was literally like I was hitting from the mud/dirt every shot. I would pay maybe $40 for a course In this condition but because of the location they are taking advantage of people charging this much
Read the Course Warning! I didn't...
I should've read the course warning. Thought I would be playing 18 but played 15 as 3 holes are closed. Tee boxes are par, Fairway is bit less par, bogey. Greens were also bogey.
Last time I played here was 5 or 6 years ago so really Wanted come back to play here but condition wasn't good or even close to what I remembered.
Maybe another 3 or 4 months later?? It MIGHT be ok, par enough, I would think.
So, just make sure read or call ahead for condition of the course before you book!
Lots of fun terrible traffic
I have played this course perhaps 40+ times and have had a great time everytime. The current management has made many course improvements in the past few years which has enhanced the play and course. Pretty nice clubhouse and the pace of play usually good. The one drawback for me is I play with friends who reside close to the course. I have a 35 mile drive to the course from Maryland and the traffic is almost always unbearable. On this round we played the round in 3 hours 15 minutes. I spent 3 hours 30 minutes getting to and from the course.
Solid
Enjoyed a fun round with three super nice guys! Hope to run into them again. Will definitely play again once the three holes that are under repair are open again.
Penderbrook Golf Club,
Thank you for taking the time to review our course and we are glad you enjoyed your visit!
The ground under repair areas are newly sodded fairway areas, which is part of a multi-year project to switch fairways over to warm season grass to improve turf conditions during the hotter summer months.
We hope to see you out again soon and next time give yourself some more time to enjoy Mulligans Pub, their food is great!
