Fun time good course
Winter golf pricing was awesome. Great fun. Will definitely come back!
Charged us double the price and blamed GolfNow
Booked this on GolfNow and paid the $10 service fee. We showed up to the course expecting to pay $35 but the course said GolfNow had their winter rates wrong and said if we wanted to play it would be $65. He didn’t honor the rate so we paid double.
Not As Advertised
It’s actually $65 instead of the $35 advertised when you book it on the app. Was a nice surprise to pay almost double what I thought I was going to pay when I arrived since the course didn’t fix the prices on GolfNow. The Starter is one of the rudest I’ve ever encountered. The course condition was awful. The fairways were entirely dead grass. I had to pay double what I thought I was going to pay for course that didn’t even have good fairways. Save your money and go to one of the cheaper courses in the Front Royal area.
Was disappointed that they aerated the greens. WHO aerates greens in December & why hadn't they stated that on golf now!!!
Shenandoah Valley Gold
Greens were aerated and very rough. 2 foursomes in front of us that did not let us (twosome) play through the whole day. About a 5+hour round. They were also playing loud music the whole time. We will not be going back to this course. Second time we played, second time it was a bad experience.
Awesome day of golf
Played on a Saturday. Pace of play was good. Course was in excellent shape. Great price and an awesome playback rate to make it a 27 hole day.
Course
Always in prime condition and maintained beautifully. Greens always in great condition.
Great course
Pace of play was tricky on a Friday (multiple fundraisers/events) but the course of was in GREAT condition. Greens were pretty fast and rough was thick. Will be back
Course and staff top notch arrived an hour early and was allowed to play ahead of schedule. Staff was very helpful and welcomed any questions. Will be back and will recommend to all our friends.
Good value,good condition.
It’s early in the season for Virginia but the course was in good shape and pace of play was excellent on the front, slowed at the turn but still finished in under four hours. Play the white and blue nines, my favorites, stared a little ahead of our tee time. Greens held the ball putted a little slow but were consistent.
Rough Day at SVGC
I guess it all started with the frost delay which sadly put the whole day 1-2 hours behind. Thankfully so many people ended up leaving our delay was cut to only 50 mins. After I checked in I was told to see the starter. I went to the normal starter position and watched this guy who was obviously slammed run around sometimes barking at people when they asked questions. He walked by me no less than 6 times, never once said I’ll be with you in a minute or even acknowledged I was there. Then He goes back inside and sets up next to the counter... with a line of people. I couldn’t believe the lack of communication and lack of customer service. He course was in so so condition. Greens were bumpy and some fairways were less than what this course usually provides. Once we got out in the sunshine and actually were golfing the day got much better but overall it was a rough day at SVGC.
Course in good condition
The course was in good condition for March. We had a frost delay but the staff was great keeping us updated and getting everyone on their way.
