Great 27 hole course
Well maintained and nice course layout. Best price.
Good course for March
Played this course in March. Was crowded but not unbearable. It is short but many holes are sharp dog legs requiring less than driver. Free rolled pretty true and a decent pace. Will certainly play there again.
Great course
The course is in great shape, the greens were just punched so a little bumpy but still quick. The whole environment was Covid19 prepared by way of leaving the flags in with foam in the holes, no rakes for the sand traps, no water stations, carts were wiped down, six feet distancing in the pro shop , Ect. The staff was friendly and thanked us for coming out. It was a great way to relax and enjoy a beautiful day.
Course in great shape for March!
The ground crew have been busy making improvements by removing dead trees. The course looks great. The greens need spring growth to make them shine. Looking forward in playing at Shenandoah Valley Golf this spring.
Really good shape for this time of year!
Had a great round at Shenandoah Valley. Played 36 holes this day, and we paid $21 for the first round and $20 for the second. Really good rates, and the fairways were relatively dry considering the winter we have had. I am from the Northern VA area, and all courses up here for the most part are cart path only this time of year. I was pleasantly surprised that we had no cart restrictions! After a frost/fog delay of about an hour, we teed off around 10:15 and had no wait time at all. There was a 3some ahead of us, and after they let us play through, we were smooth sailing and played both rounds in less than 3 hours each. This is a course where you do not need driver on every par 4 or 5. The greens are relatively small, and you need good distance control! The bunkers were also in GREAT shape, and my buddy and I were commenting at how soft and fluffy the sand was! They take good care of this course all year round, and it shows! We will be back.
Great day!
Course was in great shape. Pace of play was super. A cool but sunny day. An awesome day for a round of golf!
Perfect greens
I played the course shortly after they aerated the greens and had placed sand over the greens. That day it was rough putting.
Their hard work has paid off. The greens were excellent.
They are working on the tee boxes and some of the alternative ones were rough.
No water hazards
I like the fact that this course has no water hazards. The greens were in good conditions considering they had aerated them about 3 weeks ago. I played there a week ago and they were very sandy.
Aeration of greens
I wish they would let you know when they are doing the greens. Drove over an hour to play on a bunch of wet sticky sand. Other than that the course us great.
Great course!
Great course...plays tight but forgiving and playable. This course rewards you for hitting fairways but right or left may make you work hard for a bogie! But forgiving enough that you don't lose balls if your ball pushes right or left. Greens played true amd were in great condition...tee boxes. Clean. Fairways are tight though!
Enjoy this course
I enjoy the layout and condition of this course. New to the area and like playing different courses. I keep coming back here every few weeks.
