Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club
About
Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club offers the traditional links course reminiscent of those found in the British Isles, situated amidst Virginia's horse country. The club gets its name from the land's former use, a raspberry field. The scenic terrain overlooks to Catoctin Mountains and there are still a few raspberry bushes dotting the course. By far the layout's most formidable challenges come from the deep, stacked pot bunkers that make it truly feel like a classic Scottish golf course. There are also water hazards on a few holes. The course's signature is the par-4 third hole, which is long but plays downhill all the way. The 10th hole, another par 4, is one of the toughest. The landing area is generous off the tee but there is a creek and pond to the left and fairway bunkers on the right.

Excellent Course
What a fantastic course to play on. Great fairways and greens, pace of play was excellent. Highly recommend to anyone.
Great course!
Course was in great condition and staff was fantastic. 5 hour round but on Friday before a holiday weekend it was expected. American flags on all holes was a nice touch.
7000+ Boom
Wide fairways, big and fast greens, and deep bunkers. Challenging course from gold or black tees.
Great course beginning to show its age?
One of my favorite courses; challenging, fun, with great vistas and fascinating holes that challenge any player. Greens are very fast, difficult to read, and a real test.
One major drawback is no GPS on cart; they used to have them but not for past couple of years. You'll need some way to figure out the distances to hazards, around sharp doglegs, and pin distances on some very wide greens.
Course is showing some wear on fairways and some greens. This was the first time for my playing partner. While he liked the course, he didn't think it was worth full price.
Won't take much to return course to 5 stars, but the work needs to be done to preserve on of NOVAs golf gems.
Course in great shape
Always enjoy playing at Raspberry Falls but hadn't been here in a while. Definitely was reminded why I like this place!
Love the layout.
Moved up from FL & looking for courses to play while getting over sticker shock. This was the best value I found to date.
Beautiful golf course
Great experience, excellent condition, beautiful views
Course layout and design
Really fun to play. Elevations, water, crazy bunkers...Every hole is different from any other you already played on this course. You use every club and use every shot. I will be back.
Always a great course
Course in great shape. Pace of play was within reason 4.5 hours. Cart girl friendly and helpful.
Starter and cart staff provided excellent assistance.
RF always a good experience.
Great track even early in season
Best good course in Northern Vitginia
Plays like a classic links course
early season round
Booked online prepaid but the course charge my party again when they checked in at the course and we live an hour away, did not find out until we had diner that night When I try to collect my green fee. Had to drive back to the course to get refund because of they paid with the CC.
Course overpriced
Starter was in a very bad mood and was rude to us on more than one occasion. Course was overpriced for the condition it was in. Will not play this course again till conditions improve. Probably mid summer.
Great Course
Always a great course. Start to finish. Helpful and friendly staff.
Beautiful layout
Course is in good shape for this late in the fall. Setting is the eastern side of the Appalachian mountais and is impressive with elevated tee boxes looking back into Virginia and Maryland. Some tee boxes need to be leveled out. My biggest suggestion to the management is to recontour the practice putting green. It's slope is too severe and not reflective of the greens. Overall this is one of the best public courses in northern Virginia.
Beautiful course slow play
Nice challenging course great condition everything was great until we got to fourth hole, we played as a foursome there was three different twosomes in front of us we had to wait on almost every shot after that no rangers on the course pushing people and making the groups in front of us play as a foursome other than that we had a fun day.
Beautiful Course, CRAZY Traps
My golf buddy and I have been wanting to play Raspberry Falls for a long time, but never had the chance to get out to Leesburg. We decided to go on a Saturday afternoon after finding a great deal on the tee time. The course was in fantastic shape, greens were speedy. The round was cut a bit short due to the blistering winds and cloud cover, but if the sun is shining, it's one of the best courses in Northern Virginia
very beautiful this time of year!
My 4some had a very enjoyable experience-will return!
A Good Course I will be Back.
It was just my wife and I. The pace was a little slow for the front 9. After the foursome quit and the threesome let us play through . It was great. I like this course it has enough challenge but very playable. The fairways were a little rough and the greens were not pristine.
Greens not rolling but a fun track
Greens weren't rolling particularly well but pace of play was good and staff was great as always. Fun layout with enough tee box locations to satisfy varying levels of play.
Great time-little expensive
I think the course is great but it's not worth a dramatic price to drive all the way out there for an overpriced experience.
