Good Time at Sunkist Country Club
Three friends and I played Sunkist Country Club in Biloxi, MS, this past weekend. Good time as the course was in great shape (excellent greens), the staff friendly, and the weather couldn't have been better. Highly recommend Sunkist for folks visiting the MS Gulf Coast and looking for a nice, affordable round.
The course was in excellent condition
Even though it was extremely hot out we had a great time, Nice laid out course and everyone was extremely nice.
One of my favorites
We played on Thursday, so there was no crowd. The rough can be difficult in some areas because of the thick grass. All fairways were very good. Not one bad lie. The greens are in great condition and a little fast. I like that. I did not score well, but that was my fault. Looking forward to playing this course again.
Hot Wednesday at the Sunkist Course
While on vacation I stopped by at the Sunkist course. Greens are mostly small, so precise play is required. Fairways are average, most likely due to the summer heat. Staff at the proshop and the starter were greeting me with a smile, even I came as a Golfnow player. Could play as a Single, so I managed to play 18 holes in 2 1/2 hours.
Very Good Course
Greatttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
Great staff
We enjoyed playing, the staff from front desk to marshals and snack bar crew were extremely friendly and courteous... The marshal was a big help giving us pointers before playing the round which saved us strokes.. Course was in pretty good shape . It was our first time and will play again
Fun day
Our first time playing this course, my wife and I enjoyed our round. Tee boxes were sometimes a bit rough and small, but the course was in generally good shape. The greens are quite challenging, without a high soft approach, the ball would often roll off the green due to the slope and undulations. The Golf Now deal made this a good value. We will definitely play here again.
Enjoyable day of golf!
Nice course with wonderful staff. Very enjoyable day on the golf course!
Good course. Great Value
Played this course and Great Southern a week prior. The two courses are night and day. This course had greens in pristine shape I think they just cut them the morning we playe so they were very fast. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. Might find a few places in the rough were it is patchy, but compared to Great Southern, this is Augusta. Try to get a golf now tee time. We managed to snag one for $20.
Greens that eat yah
Wonderful fast paced local course. Did not see the alligator whose sign was posted. The greens require a high ball drop or you fly off in all 360 degrees. Undulations will rack up lots of bogies if not careful. Fun people and they will let you play early if there is time space and 3 comes instead of 4 & 2…Will return
Nice course
Beautiful day but the previous week had seen a ton of rain so it was cart path only. Pace was decent even though playing behind a High School Tournament.
Paid $25 which was excellent.,Regular price of $59 is not justified in my mind. The course was nice but nothing great or memorable about the conditions or layout. The greens were very grainy and when putting into the grain the ball bounced a lot. I would play again but I wouldn't pay the regular fee of $59.
Great layout
Was disappointed in the conditions of fairways and greens. Not much grass in fairways. Like layout of course.
perfect greens
TThe greens were perfect. Even if it was the first time we played this course, every body was particularly nice.
Thank you all
Nice Time
Went following a few days of rain so the course was wet and cart path only. The staff more than made up for the wet course the ladies in the grill were a true pleasure! Will go back to play again
Great golf day at this course
We really enjoyed our golf game. The weather was great and the other golfers were friendly. We will return if we catch another good rate like this.
Decent Course to Play
The course was wet from recent heavy rains but playable. Greens nor as smooth as you would like. However, a good value to play.
a good day
the staff was friendly, the golf course was in good condition and the weather was good. the greens were really good and the putts rolled well.nice layout. will definitely come back.
Close to Biloxi/Gulfport
Make sure you watch the grain on the greens, you can get fooled on the greens!
Great BANG for your BUCK!
Med-Length (6347 yds) from the tips but the Greens will make you think. Course condition and putting surfaces are in Grade A playing condition. Sunkist is a older club but situated in the heart of all the MS Gulf Coast activities and Casino's. Water comes into play on some of the holes and the wildlife (gators to foxes) are plentiful and the Ole Oak trees and Azaleas are beautiful too. Pretty good bar and grill. Staff is friendly and on the ball.
Good course for the price
Wasn't expecting much with such a low 18 hole rate, but I was impressed with the condition and layout of the course. The staff was friendly and helpful, as well as the other golfers I spoke to on the course. Will definitely play there again soon.
