About
Windance Country Club, situated on rolling terrain just a few miles from the Gulf of Mexico, has been referred to as the "Gem of the Mississippi Gulf Coast."
The 18-hole semi-private course, designed by Mark McCumber, opened in 1986. Windance Country Club measures 6,659 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 129 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features four sets of tees for different skill levels.
Windance has played host to the Ben Hogan, Nike, and Senior Series Professional golf tours. It was selected as one of the state's top five courses by Golf Digest and Southern Golf Journal.

The course was in fantastic shape, and the tea boxes were very well maintained and the greens were very quick rolling and true putting. This was a great experience in the staff was very very friendly. I highly recommend it and I will be going back.
Great Time
I’ve played many of the coast courses but this was the first time playing Windance. The staff was great and accommodating. The layout and course was in great shape. I’d put it “on par” with any of the other top coast courses. It was a fun time.
Nice track. Greens were recently verticut and sanded - a bit rough but putted true. Overall in good condition. Good lies on ample Bermuda fairways. Restaurant staff polite but took 40 minutes to get a couple of quesadillas.
Holes in the green
The green still had sand and it up I don’t know when they rated the greens but they could have given us a better price for the time that is been married until you get Greene back. The course as it was was not worth the overall price in my opinion.
Enjoyable course
Course played great. Greens were recently punched and still played fairly well. Will definitely return and recommend

Great staff. Very kind folks. Greens were fast and true. Nice layout. Would definitely play again.
Everything was very good. It stormed the night before so was expecting wet areas which there was some wet areas, cart path only, but dryer than I would have expected. Issue was slow play 5 plus hour round is way too long, we had to wait on every shot.
Played on Mother's Day in the afternoon. Used a hot deal, but still not cheap. The course was cart path only due to several days of hard rain. Course was still in great condition, particularly the greens. We played as a twosome in 3:20 waiting occassionally. Course is pretty straight forward but still has enough challenges to keep you engaged. Would play again anytime.
Challenging greens
Great layout, more water on the front than the back. It would have been nice to have the hole layout at the tee blocks or on the scorecard since there were holes with hidden water areas.
Beautiful track
If you’re passing through Gulfport as I was, do yourself a favor and play this course. A beautiful track in great condition. Fairways, tee boxes, greens, all in great shape. Greens are fast and true. Highly recommend!!
