Stonecreek Golf Club
About
The course is set on a 165-acre parcel off Hwy. 213 in Oregon City. Built at an estimated cost of $7.5 million, it features two distinct nines - the front half situated in a meadow-like setting and the back nine winding through towering Douglas fir trees and bordering wetlands. In addition to its namesake Stone Creek, the course has three lakes, four wetlands areas and 41 bunkers. There are four sets of tees, playing from 5,123 to the "Jacobsen" tees at 6,840 yards.
A full-service pro shop and deli are located in the clubhouse, which has a spacious outdoor deck overlooking the 18th green. Next to the clubhouse is a large tented area for private parties, tournament function, weddings and other catered events. An expansive 6 1/2-acre driving range with all grass tees and target greens serves as a convenient on-site practice area
Another unique aspect of Stone Creek Golf Club is the excellent drainage. Significant resources were expended to ensure the driest course conditions for year-round play. According to Golf Course Superintendent David Phipps, "At most courses in the Northwest during the winter months, the ball doesn't roll much, but here you'll see the ball actually bouncing down the fairway in January."
Two of the most scenic holes are par-3s. the 180-yd. No. 6 played over a lake from the Jacobsen tees, and the 141-yd. No. 14, which necessitates a drive over wetlands and consideration of a stack of boulders protecting the green. One of Peter Jacobsen's favorite holes is the par-4 ninth, a 397-yard challenge from the back tees with two fairways to choose from - an upper elevated landing area with a clear view of the green; or a lower approach through a narrow opening between bunkers.
After a round of golf, golfers can relax at the clubhouse with outdoor seating on a large deck overlooking the 18th green
With its large tented area for special events, Stone Creek Golf Club is a prime spot for hosting tournaments, weddings, corporate outings and other large groups.

Great time
Although greens were aerated 3 days prior it was very playable just a bit slow rolling. Other than that staffers and services were great, fairways freshly mowed and well watered, course was challenging but fun. Our foursome had a wonderful time.
Pace of play
I was a single that was paired with a threesome.
From the very first tee box we had to wait.
4 some ahead of us very slow and several groups
Ahead of them. Huge bottleneck. We did not see a Marshall until hole 14. He talked to group ahead about playing ready golf. They said they would try!
5 hour / 20 minute round. Slowest I have played all summer. Should not put three groups with carts
Behind two groups walking without more
Rum between.

Great 18
I had a great time playing with 3 good golfers! The curse was a little dry but hot weather was to blame!

a little dry.
Great greens. A little dry in places with no cushion under ball. So it was like hitting off hard pan. Pray for rain!!!!!

Great Course
Only complaint was two groups ahead there was little kids playing and slowing everything down. Kids have to learn the game somehow so not sure what you do but peak hours is bad time for them to be out there.
We are glad to hear the only complaint was the group you played behind. We hope to see you back for another round soon!
Gorgeous views!
There's always an incredible view of Mt. Hood or sweet mansions to look at. The course is friendly. You won't lose many balls, if any. Unfortunately the greens were recently sanded heavily. Bad luck. Paid $36 for the round for two of us, $32 more the cart, $45 for ten beers and $40 for the sitter. Would do it again tomorrow!
Glad youy enjoyed the incredible views during your round at Stone Creek. You and your golfing buddy should be sure to come back soon!
Gorgeous homes and course
...... estates surrounding a fourth of the course enhanced viewing. Very convenient to I205, tho serene.
Fine condition and plenty of challenges.
Stone Creek likes to hear that you not only enjoy the challenges and condition of the course but the surrounding scenery to enjoy during your round!
Terrific Layout with mix of Links and Traditional Northwest feel
This is a fantastic layout. I would definitely play it again. The course gets a ton of play, but playing time was around four hours late in the day with a ton of foursomes out on the course. There is great use of elevation changes without too many blind shots. Bunkers were in excellent condition as well.
Stone Creek is happy to hear that you enjoyed the layout and your round so much you will be playing again!
Excellent Course
This is a great course for all levels of players. Be aware of the greens after they have been sanded. Tough to judge putts. Fairways and bunkers were in excellent condition.
This is a course with some moderate hills. Riding gives you a more enjoyable round, but it is able to be walked.
It sounds like you have great tips for our course and have played several rounds! Glad you feel our course supports all level of golfers!
Great track
Pound for pound one of the best golf courses in northwestern Oregon. You need a lot of shots to score and when it's dry the bump and run becomes critical. Love playing here, you will too.
We appreciate the one of the best golf courses in Northwestern Oregon review. We love that you love to play our course and we hope to keep seeing you back!
Beautiful
This course is amazing! Fairways r firm and well kept. Greens r fast but fair and roll true, if you can putt you will make every thing. When you play in the evening the shadows cast across the course are beautiful! I would play this course every day.
P.s. get the pin placement before u head out its important ;)
Thank you so much for your great comments on the conditions! We hope to see you again soon.
Great Father's Day
Greens are some of the best ever! A little more consistency would be nice. I think this is still a great value for the money! Ban sunflower seeds from the course!
We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the conditions of the greens! We will make sure to take your recommendations under consideration.
Best course I've played so far!
Wow. This course blew me away with it's grass quality, cuts, views etc. The grass was IMMACULATE. Greens were perfect: no bumps, dead spots etc. I'm a rookie golfer as I've only been playing for 6 months. I have not played 20 rounds yet. I live near Atlanta and have started out on Georgia golf courses. I've been taking my clubs with me when I travel to be able to play while on business trips.
Stone Creek definitely blows away ALL of the coursed I've played so far. Beautiful, clean, professional look and feel. Signs at every tee box, trash cans available, ball washers were stocked with water/soap etc. They have food delivery availabe (I saw a sign about it) where you can call and someone will drive out food/snacks/drinks to you at your hole. All cool stuff.
Pro Shop was stocked with all the necessary items: clothing, shoes, balls, hats etc. I got to talk to "Eddie" who works their and he was very friendly and pleasant.
I can't believe this is a "Public" course. It definitely has a PRIVATE CLUB feel. If you get to the Portland area.....plan a day to enjoy this course.
Thanks for visiting our course and we are happy to hear that we are the best course you have played so far! We hope to see you back next time you are in town!
Stone Creek
Enjoy playing this course but the pace of play doesn't seem to be monitored. Slower than most courses in the area. Friendly staff and the course was in really good shape. My playing partner was a little disappointed about the number of balls he lost, but he can't blame the course for that!
Thanks for the praise to our staff and glad you enjoyed the course conditions during your round. We challenge you and your playing partner to come back and try to not lose as many balls!
No aeration warning
There is nothing that makes me more frustrated then when you get to a golf course, spend the money, go to the driving range, and then finally make it to the putting green to find the the greens have been aerated. You can't hit into the greens because they are like concrete and it pretty much ruins your round. I thought that as a course you were supposed to let people know about this. I would of played somewhere else had I known.
We apologize and would love to find out more about your round offline. Please email me directly at hayleyteetimes@outlook.com
Stone Creek Golf course
Great course! Beautiful.
CLUBHOUSE leaves something to be desired.
No service on the deck? And what's with the park benches? Guess you guys don't want people to stick around after their round. They're very uncomfortable. There is a lot of money to be made on concessions.
Glad you enjoyed the course. We are always open to suggestions to help improve the facility so we appreciate it!
Fast Greens
Greens and fairways were in great shape. The greens were very fast!
Nice to hear you enjoyed the conditions of the course
