Blue Heron Golf Course

Greens were true and reasonably quick but well kept. The fairways are incredibly dangerous. Short track and hard fairways meant a 3 wood running and bouncing through the doglegs a couple times(260+ yards, normally fly a 3 wood about 200-220)bounce and roll in full effect this time of year(summer). Other than that little challenge, this was a great value and a fun course for all levels. I had to back off and hit 4 or 5 irons off the 300 or so yard par 4's so as to not blow past corners and into the woods. I highly recomend this course if you can play while its still dry. I suspect it's pretty wet Oct-May.......

This could be fun and enjoyable course with consistent maintenance and bug spray. The misquitoes were plentiful and bug spray offered at checkin. Tee boxes are so dry and hard you cannot get a tee in ground on most. Fun course for a beginner or junior but not worth the price for typical recreational golfer.

The greens are in super shape, but the fairways are dried up, hard pan here and there. If you do not hit it square down the middle. It will run off into the bushes because of the dry hard fairways

Honestly this is probably on my top 5 courses and I've played all over the NW and Arizona. I just love the ability to show up and play a round with anyone of any caliber and still have a good time. Walking around in the lush marshland by the river with all native trees from the area just gives me a happy feeling and an evening round makes the light shine just perfectly on the entire course. They used to have the best lamb burger I've ever tasted but the kitchen staff is a little tight right now. I still love playing a round and having dinner there frequently. I'd chose this course over Overlake any day for the privacy and judgement free environment. It truely is a gem. If someone were to pour good money into quality greens this would be the best course on the eastside.

Granted my game is terrible but we lost balls that landed on the fairway because there were so many fallen leaves everywhere. Other golfers throughout the day complained for the same conditions. The ground was very wet greens and very muddy in other places. Course isn’t very forgiving for a new golfer like me. A lot of mosquitoes so pack some big spray. Also the driving range isn’t netted and is right next to a fairway which makes it very confusing to find your ball near there.

It was a cool summer day, and I wore shorts and a golf polo. It rained on hole 6 and then it stopped. It still had summer conditions with good roll. My tempo was off perhaps because of the weather being gray and cool. When temperatures changes from 90s to 60s there is a swing difference. I did workout the tempo problem off and on. The course is worth the money the value is here at Blue Heron GC. I play between Monday and Thursday. You basically have the course to yourself. The bar and restaurant is excellent. The server has a lot of personality and hussle. She is the best. If anyone wants to join me DM me at 425 305-1061

Blue Heron continues to go downhill. They overwater it making it very wet even in the summer during a drought. The tee boxes are beat up badly.The fairways are overgrown. The greens are very bumpy. Looks like they haven’t put any work into it in years. They charged us $50 to walk. It felt like golfing in someone’s yard. I’ve been coming here for a long time and I played very well; however, this course is depressing. Not worth $20. The bar/restaurant is nice but overpriced. They charged me $8 for a draft bud lite…

Interesting little golf course. Fairways were thick not what I am used too. Greens running about an 8 and bumpy. Fun if you are just learning the game but for someone who has played for almost 50 years it was different.

Played on 6/19, had rained the weekend of and the back 9 were “flooded” so no power carts. Didn’t mention anything about it before hand and didn’t offer to lower price for people who already reserved. Pretty much paid to play in a swamp. Back 9 was in better shape than the front. Probably won’t play here again, as this is like the 3rd time this has happened with no offers to make it right.

Was a decent day - the course was wet - but then we had rains the previous few days. The course could dry out better. Overall experience wasn't too bad. A couple of fairways on the back 9 were a bit too wet/soft. The staff was super cool and more than made up for the wet course. With the sun showing up now - I am sure the green's are faster, the fairways are drier and cant wait to get back this summer.

Suggestion: Would be awesome if you can place a few ball washers on a few tee boxes.
