Very average design

I was very excited to play here but after 2 holes I got this sour taste for it. I really don't know why but I wasn't impressed with the design. The bunkers need a major overhaul as maybe two inches of sand in each. They allow fivesomes and they move at turtle speed.
I would not recommend this course.

Great bang for the buck!

I played Drumm for the first time a few weeks ago and was very surprised to how nice it was. GolfNow.com has $15-$20 fire sales most of the time and that puts Drumm in my books as the best bang for the buck in Kansas City. The course is pristine and still has a new feel to it. The green are well manicured and the staff is very friendly. The homes around the course are all new and well kept and your far enough away from the bad side of Independence that you actually feel as if your in leawood when you come around a few of the corners. I drive 45 minutes to play Drumm, I place it in the same category as Stone Canyon and that says alot.

Great Course

Drumm Farm is a great course. The greens, fairways and tee-boxes are all in very good condition as of June 3rd. Plenty of length here to challenge big hitters. I really like the relatively open layout.

Everything but the bunkers were great!

It was one of those days where you get a lot of beach practice. Unfortunately the bunkers looked as if they hadn't been maintained all year. Some we're down to hard pan. Other than that a wonderful value on GOLFNOW.

February Day

Course was in pretty good shape considering it was late February and the lack of moisture. Club house staff was very nice, the gentleman in the snack bar area could take a few pointers from them. Need to overseed the rough around the entire course, but I do enjoy the brush clearing they've done the last few years.

Always enjoy Drumm Farm. Good for all skill levels. Pretty good shape for February in Kansas City. Couldn't expect a lot better.

Great golf for the money at this time of year

Played 36 holes and the pace of play was great. The weather cooperated fully which made for an even better two rounds. The course was in great shape considering the summers weather. The course is challenging but fun to play. Disappointed to hear that it will be going private.

great layout, several short par 4's where driver is not needed. great greens - with movement.

Staff was very friendly, had no problem with cheaper fee from golfnow - like other courses I've played. excellent service, nice to see marshals on the course and a beverage cart. Course condition very good, nice driving range a plus. Layout is challenging, with bail out areas if needed. Average size fairways, with difficult rough or waste area. Bunker conditions are the worst feature, feels more like dirt than sand. Overall excellent course.

Great Value

The course was in top shape with fairways impeccable. I'm sure that was hard to do considering the extremely dry summer. Doesn't apply to golf now, but this is one of the few nice courses that have a walking rate. The course is very walkable with alsmost all tee boxes close to the previous green. I had a good time - even though I played poorly.

Course was in great condition.

Drumm offers a variety of tee boxes for any level of player. The course was in fantastic shape even with the extremely hot and dry summer. If you have never played there it must be on your "need to play" list.
