Fantastic Friendly Pro
We had an excellent time. The pro was super friendly and we were a little early and he was able to get us on the course prior to our time. Greens were outstanding and true.
Love It
Great Course! nice greens. Worth the money. almost had a hole in one. a foot from hole.
great course, greens where very good friendly staff...will play agian soon
great place this is one of my new favorite course....will play again soon
Great lday!
It was a 5 hour round, that was more likely due to weather sunny and 80 everyone seemed to be enjoying the weather and having fun. The coarse was in good condition and would play it again.
Still a good value
Fun course, plenty of challenge and rewards. Pace of play was slow and unenforced, as they don't have a marshall. Atmosphere is pretty relaxed, but don't come out for a quick 18 if the weather is decent.
wet
fun but we got soak from the weather. but we will play again
average at best
don't star playing after 3pm unless you have lots and lots of time, high school season, they will put the kids out in front of you on the back 9, then you have to try and wade your way thru. good luck with that. Muddy fairways, tall grass, nothing special.
Very wet course
Serious drainage problems. Puddles on greens, and if you miss the fairway at all its a muddy mess. Pictures on their website certainly make this course seem much nicer than it really is.
This course is fun and challenging
The course is challenging but not overly difficult. Some holes require a decent carry to stay out of trouble, Water comes into play on about half the course. I will come back again and again. Pro shop personal are fantastic. Great restaurant and bar at this course too,
This course has great features.
Though it was pouring rain on Saturday, the staff was friendly and attentive. The course is being worked on in a few areas. Come Spring, it will be even better!
Beautiful course
The course was really pretty. We played at 2:00 in the afternoon. Of course the most beautiful time of day is when there are long shadows. We will play this course again. It was well worth the money we spent.
Better wear your golf boots and bring an old wedge
This was my first time playing this municipal course and I was not very impressed. They were very discombobulated in the pro shop. We didn't get to start on time, actually 35 mins after are scheduled to tee off. Descent layout for a 80 year + old course. Few narrow holes where I should have played a fairway metal instead of driver. Don't get into the sand traps. My 60* vokey didn't appreciate the hard packed rock filled bunkers. I played the curse on a dry day and plugged nearly every tee shot. It must have a natural spring running through the heart of the course. The greens were punched around a month ago and were not healing very fast. There was no 90* rule and the course being a swamp that it is was very torn up due to power carts running in the mud. To top it off as I finished my round at dusk I was cut off on the 17th hole by a group of townies in jeans and t shirts pitching and putting in no hurry while I was trying to hit my approach. As I ended in the dark playing with a glow ball the old man came out of the pro shop unhappy he was still there waiting for me to end my round. As I explained to him about my delayed start time and the townies practicing on 17 he played it off as thou it was my fault he was stuck there. I will not be returning to cedarcrest or recommending it to anyone else.
Alot of fun
The course is alot of fun. It's not that long but really let's you place your shot's and use all of your clubs
Great little course.
Great little course. A little short but you have to avoid the 100 foot tree's surronding most of the holes.
Shorter course but can be difficult
This is a course where you are really rewarded if in the middle of the fairway. Just a few hazards across the fairway. Most along the edges. Trees come into play along many of the edges of the fairway. No bunkers or sandtraps in front of greens. Water can get in the way at times. #10 par 4 is the #1 handicap hole and unless you are a 220 plus distance driver it is tough to get to the elevated green in 2. Greens and fairways were just punched so won't comment on their conditions.
Very short course with solid greens
Cedarcrest is a very reasonable course for beginners, with a few challenging holes for the scratch golfer. The course has some slight slope with drivable par 4's for the longer hitters, making some good risk reward tee shots. The main issue that I see is pace of play. You usually can get done under 4 1/2 hours, but there has been a few 5+ hour rounds. All in all, the price is fair, the greens during the summer rolled fine, and it can be fun for all skill levels.
Every hole different from the other
Every hole is different from the other. My favorite public course in puget sound area.
