Gleneagle Golf Course
About
Gleneagle Golf Course in Arlington is just an hour north of Seattle. The 5,949-yard, par-70 layout may seem relatively short, but it's a course that will test your shot making skills and accuracy with strategically placed bunkers and undulating greens. The layout makes up for any lack of length in many other ways, including the treacherous rough that lines the rolling fairways. Water hazards come into play as well, but there are more on the front nine than the back. There are some challenging holes but overall, players of all skill levels will enjoy the golf course, especially with its backdrop of cedar and fir trees spread across rolling hills. With a driving range also available, Gleneagle offers one of the area's best values for the money.

Great bang for buck
Great price for what you get, and it’s a tough course with lots of trees/houses and pretty quick greens for an average golfer like me. Fairways weren’t mowed yet but staff told us they were to be cut this week and bunkers were unplayable.
Only play if you can get a cart for under $50
I've played this course over 50 times, during every month of the year. Most of which have been on a "Hot Deal" or in a tournament. It is a bit muddy in places, the sand traps are "unplayable" 8 months out of the year. The greens are always good. It is challenging but not long. It can be a difficult course to score well. The grass is often too long, especially 8 months of the year due to dampness and soft ground. It's not uncommon to search for your ball in tall grass or getting "plugged" in the fairway. It's always enjoyable. Allow at least 4.5 hours to get through a round. In my opinion it is a $50 or less greens fees including power cart course!
Spring - Not Great
Understandable with all the rain and muddy conditions, but areas that could have been more groomed weren't and it was a mud bath. Just not in conditions even for early spring play.
Bring extra balls.
It’s a soggy mess. Overgrown and goodluck keeping your balls from plugging. The greens are in great shape and are the only promising thing there. I’ve played here several times but it’s almost impossible to play in these fairways. Wait till mid summer to play this course.
Winter rate
I understand that the winter isn't a good season to play golf. Not too cold in Seattle area but so wet this winter. The ground was so muddy, grasses were tall, lots of leaves, and branches. I lost more than 10 balls. Really bad condition to play golf ⛳️ 😕 😪.
But still golf fee didn't go down.
The fairways and greens are in great condition !
The course is in great shape for this time of year, with well-maintained fairways and smooth greens
My first time playing here
Greens were generally good. Lots of brown grass on fairways and rough so it feel like the course is very thirsty
.
Pace of play and price was great. narrow and challenging course. Greens were in good shape. Practice range was embarrassing. Staff were great.
Tight fairways
This is a challenging course if you do not hit it straight....unfortunately I did not the day I played so many tee balls into the woods or ponds...lots of well designed holes with steep hills on several holes...not especially long but narrow at portions....very good value for the money
