Playing Round
Usually play this course 4-5 times year . Always like playing here as it is real nice course and the price is great.
Do not waste your money here. The tee boxes are terrible. Divots everywhere and nobody fills anything in. The greens as actually just as bad as the tee boxes. The people who play here don’t fix their ball marks on the green. The grass everywhere has disease. I thought for the money this would’ve been a lot better. They could charge $20/round with a cart and it still wouldn’t be worth it.
The golf course is a very nice course. Like the layout of the course. Greens were very nice. Depending on the day and time. The price was good for me. Have no issues what so ever at Locust Hill. Had an issue with golfnow. Booked a tee time but had to change right outside the 24 hour mark. Tried to speak with someone. You cant!. Had to set up a account with them just to change the time. Ended up missing our scheduled tee time. Would not have got a refund. Thankfully Locust Hill helped us out and moved our tee time up so that i didnt have to lose out on $95. Had a great time.
Glad we went back
I hadn't played here in many years, but the course was in good shape, more development from the housing side and too many geese, but perfect day, good friends and a good time.
Pace of play was good and greens were receptive, but a few too many unfixed ball marks - not a dig at the course by any means.
Course is looking great
I've played this course many times since I grew up in the area. The last few years I thought it had gone down hill. I believe there was some sort of irrigation issue they were experiencing. It appears that has been fixed as the course is in great condition! The Locust Hill staff have done a phenomenal job with the course this year.
Good Value
There are lots of holes that are just straight, but there are quite a few holes that you have to carry the water or layup. There are lots of tee boxes so you can pick the one that makes it challenging for you.
Snail play
5:25 round... ridiculous. No marshals on the course to get the slow folks going..
Top Notch
6th time I’ve played the course so early in the year and it keeps getting better! The course is rounding into great shape so early in the year and the pin placement makes it a challenge on every hole. The staff is awesome and go the extra mile to help you!
Nice experience
Nice course, in a neighborhood so some of the holes are quirky. Overall good condition, houses lined every hole almost,, but they weren’t really a factor. Price was good. Greens were fast and pretty smooth. Would recommend and play again.
Greens were very good,
Overall this is a tough course. The greens are in very good condition but have lots of slope. Hitting very accurate shots is a must to score well here. As is the case with a lot of the courses at this price range the sand traps are in very poor condition.
Still March
Carts were 90 degree crossing only because of reseeding the fairways last fall and the fairways are coming around. The tee boxes were the biggest disappointment and some of the greens were rough and slow. I kept reminding myself it is still March! I hope to get back to this course later in the season and see how it has developed.
Nice course difficult if you haven’t played before.
Course was very nice. Very busy but I have seen a lot worse pace of play On courses with many empty holes. Every one treated us fine. We had not played the course before, there are many blind shots. That can get you in deep trouble if you don’t know where is the safest line. We didn’t drive forward and look things over before going back to hit which cost us many strokes. For me it was one of those in the 90s days. But like every round very enjoyable.
Dinner
My family and I ate the dinner special (steak and veggies bundle / Curry Chicken) and it was amazing. $4 flights on Friday night was more than worth it. We will be here more often than not.
