Will challenge the newbie
I really enjoyed this course. Played with my brother in law and he enjoyed it as well. Our first time playing there. Course was in good shape except for maybe. 2 T boxes. We will be back worth the 40 minute drive IMO. Very friendly regulars!!
Only choice in town - bummer
Tee boxes are the worst I've played on. Most have nasty weeds throughout the hitting areas (johnson grass?) they are not level and therefore hard to hit where there is actual grass. Some are so worn, it's like hitting from sand trap. Greens- VERY firm. Hard to hold an iron shot - have to play the bounce and hit it shorter than planned.
Unfortunately, it's the only choice within a 30 mile drive.
Scenic Golf
The pace of play was great, the fairways were very well kept. The greens were in good condition. The tee boxes were good except for one , it had to many wasp around the tee box. So we couldn’t tee from it. The rest of the tee boxes were great. I most definitely would invite anyone to play this course.
Only local course - average
Good fair course to play. 15, 16 and 17 always seem to be a challenge. Tee boxes are in need of repair and mowing. Greens are in good shape considering the high heat of July/August. Greens are firm though, and many shots don't hold. It is the only local course, so unless I want to drive 20-30 miles, this was the one to play. Would I go out of my way to play here, probably not.
Thin fairways and tees. Greens running slow, maybe an 8 with many unrepaired divots. Not the condition it was a decade ago. Better options in the region.
Great place
The coarse was nice. The staff was friendly and beautiful. The beer cart came around every 4 holes. Only thing I didn't like was waiting for someone to tee off to get to the next hole.
Fun day
A fun layout with some unique holes. Overall COURSE was in solid condition and well worth the drive from Hagerstown
Nice Course
The course was in very good shape. Fairways cut low and the rough manicured well. The course is somewhat challenging with water coming into play on a number of holes. The pace of play was slow with the group in front of us spending an inordinate amount of time looking for lost balls. There were no marshalls on the course to move them along. All in all, I would recommend this course for others to play.
