Lakeview Golf Resort - Mountainview Course

Thoroughly enjoyed playing this scenic course. For all the uphill fairways there are same or more downhill. Strategic management of play equals good score! Conditions were perfect - they really take care of the fairways and greens!

Found the golf course in really good condition. Greens were fast. One hole was not a fair one but the rest were ok. Store was closed when we returned after playing 18.

Played here for my bacholer party weekend. I have played the course twice before but it's been awhile, all other golfers were playing the course for the first time. Our group had only few regular players and the others like the drinking part of the game.

The course staff was very accommodating the course was in fairly good shape(people need to start fixing their ball marks). The course is well designed for all levels of golfers.

I am definitely playing again next time I'm in Morgantown.

A beautiful course but rained two nights before playing and was cart path only. Everyone was really nice and let faster players though, which is unusual! Staff was really friendly too. Hope to play someday again with less heat and humidity!

Course was in pretty good shape, greens rolled true. Sand traps were bad

This course was pretty challenging - make sure you pick up the course guide booklet in the pro shop as it helps. Fairways on the front 9 are narrow so good tee shots are a must. Back 9 opens a bit. Greens are difficult to read.

Played as a threesome, weather was perfect, course was in great shape from tee boxes to fairways to greens. Course marked out very well. Long and tight course but can play from within trees as you are able to punch out. Well worth the money.

With Golfnow.com I was able to book a round for a friend and I at 15 dollars with a cart!! It was my first time playing on the Mountain view course and I was amazed at how beautiful the course and surrounding areas are. From the first tee to the last green we were paced perfectly with both the people in front of us, as well as the people behind us, and we we're never bunched up. The staff was super friendly and met us at the car with our cart and even helped put our clubs on the cart. Having only played for 15 dollars EACH I couldn't be happier about the value of our play. The only part of navigating the course that caused trouble was trying to find our way through the streets to find a couple holes, which was partly our own fault for not seeing the signage. Twas a great experience, even though we both still suck. We will definitely be back soon.

The greens were in nice shape, and the fairways were in pretty good shape as well. The bunkers really ruin things as far as the overall course conditions go. We're talking either concrete-like or mud with standing water, and sometimes both within a single bunker. It didn't look like any effort had been made to maintain them in quite some time.

The course has some odd layouts without level landing areas to reward good shots, but that is kind of par for the course around here.

There are some beautiful views, and it definitely beats Mountaineer as far upkeep. Overall, it is not a good value at full price, but is a reasonable value when there are large GolfNow discounts.

The course was in decent shape. Greens were rolling nice, carts allowed off the path. However, play is always painfully slow. The course has OB on EVERY hole. The rough was high, which made looking for golf balls tricky. There are never any starters or rangers and the people that play here have no idea what etiquette is or how to apply it to golf. A lot of people that play here are from groups, so they think the own the course. Do not EVER pay full price to play here or Lakeview. Not worth it.

Very nice course for Morgantown. It was wet, and after all the rain there were only a few spots where the water was really bad. Impressive for the amount of rain we hve had. Only negative was the 1 hour "frost delay" we had for our 7:30 tee time. Overall, I can't wait to take friends and go back this time with a four some.

Greens were nice, fairways were nice.

Course was wet , but still enjoyable . No roll and the greens held shots.

No backup and you could play at your own pace.

Staff is very pleasant.

I plan to play there every time that I am in Morgantown.

The greens were nice enough, so were the fairways for that matter. The course is mountainous and there are a few gimmicky holes, but all-in-all it was OK...except for the bunkers. There are 8-10 boulders in nearly every bunker and hundreds of other smaller stones...very poor condition and actually quite dangerous.

Excellent course for us bozos. Grandpa and two grandsons had a bodacious outing. We'll be back. We were able to use Golf.com special price for a terrific value.
