Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

Replace Grounds Crew
Course condition fairways and some of the traps were washed out, no grass dirt. Very disappointing I played the course 6 weeks earlier and the conditions were excellent. What happened in 6 weeks? Time to hire a new grounds crew.
Lake Isle- Aug 2020
Played L/I w/ 3 friends 330pm tee time on a Thursday. Not a lot of signage informing you where next hole is. Some holes were under construction and several were very wet and muddy. Tee boxes and greens were in good condition. Track is very tight and very short. Personally I think there are better venues locally. Nonetheless, tried it and now know how it plays.
Disappointing
The fairways were burned out. Several cart paths were being resurfaced, large trucks and smell of asphalt everywhere. Couldn’t use many cart paths. One par 5 was basically closed. Course should of been closed while this much work was going on.
Short but tight
Short course, but tight. Always in decent condition. Greens a little slow but predictable. Easy walking course
Hit it Straight
A short course by most standards, but don't be fooled. All of the par 3's with the exception of one require accurate long irons. Greens are well protected. It is a true shot makers course. It is fun to play and with a few rangers prowling the course, they are not shy about keeping you moving which benefits everyone. It is a fun course to play and plenty of opportunity for a good score.
Short & tight course, friendly club
Short course. Tight course. Some interesting holes. Need to hit straight rather than long. Played in little over 3 hours and I walked. Friendly pro shop. Got paired with members who were extremely nice. Only complaint are the bunkers - sand was hard packed so club bounced into ball instead of gliding underneath. Ended up using PW and dug in leading edge rather than using bounce. Otherwise decent course. Will be back because I was spraying my shots and want another chance at a better score lol
Underwhelming and packed
This isn’t a terrible course but the layout and conditions just make it frustrating. Pace of play is always gonna be an issue bc the holes are so close together that you’re always going to wait for people who’ve hit their tee shot onto your fairway. The range is so small and facing the course that on the first and I think the 12 hole if your shot leaks a little out of the fairway you have to find it in a sea of range balls while having people hitting balls that are landing all around you. Like I said not terrible but I don’t think I’ll be going back.
Great course in NY
It was perfect to play every level of golfer~
Nice and friendly people there..
I will defiantly recommend this course to my friend!!
I’m going to play here again soon~
Fast Challenging Greens
Very tight golf course and greens require local knowledge. Would like multiple time playing the greens before you could feel confident. But Honestly the greens are great for a public course.
You can walk it
I’d bet this course is alot of players “lowest round ever”. Every hole is scoreable if you can hit your drive 200 yards straight. One member in our group drove 3 of the greens (Par 4s). Has fun par 3s and we got 18 in under 4hours. I’ll be back!
Ajb lake isle
There are a few fairly short holes that keep the slope down but enough really nice, long, strategic par 4s that make up for them. The greens can be fast. From the back tees, there are 3 par 3s that are over 190 yds.-- very good holes.
Scale of 1 - 10, Lake Isle is a 7.7
