Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

As the others have mentioned, the fairways are in rough shape, which cuts into the value. It's easy to get a tee time. Helpful staff.
Terrible staff
The staff were extremely rude and I was forced to pay the regular twilight rate ($50/person) even though I booked online on a special deal that was advertised at $40/person. I will not return there again.
tight course target golf lots of iron shots fairways in poor condition
i like the layout a tight short course i enjoyed the walk i wish they would spend some funds to improve the fairways
Ok for the money.
Empty for the most part. Unrushed round. Short course. Greens just punched and sandy. Deceptively quick still even if not ready for play. Another 2 weeks and it’ll be in good shape.
Nice course
This is a first class municipal course. A little long for us old farts. We didn't score as much as the holes are longer. The conditions are very nice.
not worth the money at this point in time
it seems that the virus has caused some of the maintenance to be over looked. the tee boxes need work, the fairways are in bad shape. Hopefully next season will be better.
Lake isle eeview
The summer weather (heat, humidity, flash rain) has taken a toll on the course. A lot of very wet spots, brown areas throughout, soft and beat up tees.
The greens were in good shape.
Great Golfing
This course provided an excellent arena for a day of golfing. The grounds keepers are doing an excellent job of maintaining this course. I will be playing there again.
Replace Grounds Crew
Course condition fairways and some of the traps were washed out, no grass dirt. Very disappointing I played the course 6 weeks earlier and the conditions were excellent. What happened in 6 weeks? Time to hire a new grounds crew.
Lake Isle- Aug 2020
Played L/I w/ 3 friends 330pm tee time on a Thursday. Not a lot of signage informing you where next hole is. Some holes were under construction and several were very wet and muddy. Tee boxes and greens were in good condition. Track is very tight and very short. Personally I think there are better venues locally. Nonetheless, tried it and now know how it plays.
Disappointing
The fairways were burned out. Several cart paths were being resurfaced, large trucks and smell of asphalt everywhere. Couldn’t use many cart paths. One par 5 was basically closed. Course should of been closed while this much work was going on.
Short but tight
Short course, but tight. Always in decent condition. Greens a little slow but predictable. Easy walking course
