Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

Hit it Straight
A short course by most standards, but don't be fooled. All of the par 3's with the exception of one require accurate long irons. Greens are well protected. It is a true shot makers course. It is fun to play and with a few rangers prowling the course, they are not shy about keeping you moving which benefits everyone. It is a fun course to play and plenty of opportunity for a good score.
Short & tight course, friendly club
Short course. Tight course. Some interesting holes. Need to hit straight rather than long. Played in little over 3 hours and I walked. Friendly pro shop. Got paired with members who were extremely nice. Only complaint are the bunkers - sand was hard packed so club bounced into ball instead of gliding underneath. Ended up using PW and dug in leading edge rather than using bounce. Otherwise decent course. Will be back because I was spraying my shots and want another chance at a better score lol
Underwhelming and packed
This isn’t a terrible course but the layout and conditions just make it frustrating. Pace of play is always gonna be an issue bc the holes are so close together that you’re always going to wait for people who’ve hit their tee shot onto your fairway. The range is so small and facing the course that on the first and I think the 12 hole if your shot leaks a little out of the fairway you have to find it in a sea of range balls while having people hitting balls that are landing all around you. Like I said not terrible but I don’t think I’ll be going back.
Great course in NY
It was perfect to play every level of golfer~
Nice and friendly people there..
I will defiantly recommend this course to my friend!!
I’m going to play here again soon~
Fast Challenging Greens
Very tight golf course and greens require local knowledge. Would like multiple time playing the greens before you could feel confident. But Honestly the greens are great for a public course.
You can walk it
I’d bet this course is alot of players “lowest round ever”. Every hole is scoreable if you can hit your drive 200 yards straight. One member in our group drove 3 of the greens (Par 4s). Has fun par 3s and we got 18 in under 4hours. I’ll be back!
Ajb lake isle
There are a few fairly short holes that keep the slope down but enough really nice, long, strategic par 4s that make up for them. The greens can be fast. From the back tees, there are 3 par 3s that are over 190 yds.-- very good holes.
Scale of 1 - 10, Lake Isle is a 7.7
A Gem with Rough
A public course, reasonable green fees, but a private golf course experience. Even though the course is relatively easy, the play is very enjoyable and everything is top notch, the pace, the tee boxes, the fairway and the greens.
Great course
I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions of the course. The course was very well maintained and the grass has been well kept through the Spring. One of the better public course experiences I have had in NY. Although the course played shorter, the longer par 3's offered a unique challenge. I would definitely play again and will recommend to friends.
Very nice course. In great condition.
Excellent conditions. Greens in great shape.
Very challenging with many 400 plus yard par 4 holes and a few long par 3 over 200 yds.
Pace
I went out on my own behind four or five foursomes. I would have preferred to have played with others but unfortunately everybody who showed up was part of a foursome. This wasn’t the fault of the club but it did take quite some time to get around. Otherwise it was fine. I’m very familiar with the course so that was a plus.
If it wasn't for the sun, we would be still playing
Great round, course some-what busy but we managed to play 27 holes........ Easy flow when you have good golfers in -front.......
Solid fall play
For playing in mid October. The Course was in great shape. Greens were quick and true. The crew was out blowing the leaves as we played which was nice.
Foreeee!
