Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

the course was in good shape for this time of the year.
the pace of play was under 4 hours for a foursome.
Still pre-season condition
Club house staff are nice. Course green needs work. Layout was not ideal. Not sure if I would play back here. But golf shoes were on sale and got a good deal.
Course Conditions Affected by Rain
Nice course and staff however after some overnight rain (about an inch), there were definitely some wet spots and it was cart path only. We got out just before noon and pace was good but looked like it got a bit backed up after that.
Tight Course
Lake Isle has become one of the premier muni trcks in lower Westchester. Thanks to their greens keeper. They do a great job
Pretty good
Not a bad course. Not very long so it allows you to take iron off the tee if you’re a course manager. Greens were on the slower side and kind of tricky to read. Some blind shots and a mixture of narrow and wide fairways. Staff was also very friendly. We played on a hot deal so I’m not sure about the full price. I’ll definitely be back
Lake Isle Country Club
My first time playing Lake Isle and I just really enjoyed this course. I had read that it was a short course, 6,000 yds from the tips and wondered if it would be challenging enough. Well I found it very challenging and interesting to play. There are some really nice holes on this course and quite a few long par 3's in excess of 190 yards. I never felt I was playing a short course. The fairways were in great shape despite heavy rainfall the night before. It was car path only, yet we still managed to finish in 4hrs and 15 minutes. The greens were in very good condition and were a little slow, but acceptable. The bunkers were also in great condition with sand and not hard pack. My only complaint and it is a small one is that I sometimes did not know which way the next hole was, you know, being a first time player. Some holes were tricky because you couldn't see the green and so you had to guess a little bit on where you wanted to drive your ball, but it was a positive aspect of the course in my opinion. I loved it and will play here again!! I also am going to recommend it to my friends.
Love it
Lake Isle is a great semi private course. The pace of play is excellent, they never overbook which gives you a stress free round. Staff is very friendly. The superintendent did a wonderful job with the amount of rain that fell in the last couple of days.
Once and Done
Paid $97 for two of us with a GolfNow Hot Deal. Wouldn’t pay full fare. Course needs upkeep. Greens were wet, very slow and dinky. My ball plugged up to its equator four or five times on the greens. Fairways were super wet, too. Seems like the course could use a full drainage overhall. I think they have it set for permanent cartpath only, except for three holes. You need an ATV on the cart paths, terrible shape. Too many blind tee shots. Disco music blasting from the adjacent pool complex made it difficult to enjoy. Ugh.
Staff was pleasant, except our fousome was asked to please pick up the pace at the turn after finishing the front nine in 1:40. Really?
For the price, there are better courses in the area to play.
Great course which is Town owned. Course has been well maintained. Staff is always accommodating. Great crew there.
Short but challenging track
Needs more rangers to help keep pace going better.
Good value for the price.
Lake Isle is a very enjoyable course , challangjng and the greens make you be a putter.
Pleasant surprise
Hadn’t played there in a while and was looking for an inexpensive, late day place to play. Found this on GolfNow and being close to Home it was perfect. Staff was great, course not crowded and really in excellent shape.
Fairways and greens were really in super shape. Since I don’t the ball far anymore the length of as perfect.
Would definitely come back. Other then bar being closed it was great.
Great Golf Course
Lake Isle CC is a short golf course with pristine greens and fairways. I was able to play the course for $34 on a hot deal and would consider the normal playing rate expensive for a par 70 6000 yard golf course. Nonetheless blind tee shots, treelined holes and narrow fairways always make for exciting rounds. This course is one of the best public courses in close proximity to New York City.
A nice change of pace
I thoroughly enjoyed my second round at this course. While it isn’t a very long course, it’s fun and challenging at times. There was much course management and updates going on during my round but it seems like the course is only getting better. Greens are just as fast as I remember from my last visit which make You earn your scores. The staff was very inviting and warm. Food was great and I even managed to do a nice job parallel parking my cart at the turn. My group enjoyed our round and I can’t wait to return before the end of summer.
