Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

Short but challenging track
Needs more rangers to help keep pace going better.
Good value for the price.
Lake Isle is a very enjoyable course , challangjng and the greens make you be a putter.
Pleasant surprise
Hadn’t played there in a while and was looking for an inexpensive, late day place to play. Found this on GolfNow and being close to Home it was perfect. Staff was great, course not crowded and really in excellent shape.
Fairways and greens were really in super shape. Since I don’t the ball far anymore the length of as perfect.
Would definitely come back. Other then bar being closed it was great.
Great Golf Course
Lake Isle CC is a short golf course with pristine greens and fairways. I was able to play the course for $34 on a hot deal and would consider the normal playing rate expensive for a par 70 6000 yard golf course. Nonetheless blind tee shots, treelined holes and narrow fairways always make for exciting rounds. This course is one of the best public courses in close proximity to New York City.
A nice change of pace
I thoroughly enjoyed my second round at this course. While it isn’t a very long course, it’s fun and challenging at times. There was much course management and updates going on during my round but it seems like the course is only getting better. Greens are just as fast as I remember from my last visit which make You earn your scores. The staff was very inviting and warm. Food was great and I even managed to do a nice job parallel parking my cart at the turn. My group enjoyed our round and I can’t wait to return before the end of summer.
The course was in great shape!!
First time I played this course. Was very satisfied with the conditions. Nice lay out. Friendly staff.
Will definitely return and recommend the course to others!
More Difficult than you'd think
It doesn't require great length, but if you're off line, you will have trouble scoring. The course is in good condition and offers an enjoyable and relaxing round of golf. I wasn't the biggest fan of the first and 10th fairways being covered with range balls, but at least they are colored yellow to help avoid confusion if you are playing a traditional white ball.
Aerated greens
I was never informed that the greens were aerated. Should have gotten a discount
Playing a full fledged landscaping construction site
Could be nice when complete, but we paid top dollar for course under construction. Conditions not availed other than airation warning .
SORRY
Cold but GOOD
Good day. Place was empty. Course was in good shape. Dave the head pro is always a class act. A real gentleman. Can’t wait for Srpring to get back there.
Course Neeeds Improvements
Not easy to see course numbers on some ball washer poles where there is just a number for the hole, which is many sometimes covered with a washer towel. No signs to tell players next hole location. No distance details for colored tees at each tee location for each hole. Many areas off the fairways had dirt or tree roots rather than grass. Had to move ball for better location if hit into these roughs.
We showed up early, and asked if we could tee off early by chance, and were told by pro shop, no, there were groups in front of us.. so my party of Two, putted around on the practice green... which was right next to the Teebox, and no one teed off for the next 20 minutes!! He could have very easily slipped us in there ... we are avid golfers , we sure we're not going to slow anybody down .. I thought the pro shop was rude .
Greens are well done
For several years now, Lake Isle has a new
greens keeper and maintenance company.
They do a great job.
The greens run true and pretty quick for a town course. One thing, on several holes, the pin is always in the same place. Perhaps, move a pin or two
Small and in poor condition
Not the best course and certainly not 4.5 stars. Small, tight and the course is in very poor condition. Old man managing the tee times wasn't pleasant to deal with either. It's a municipal course with a pool but overrated and overpriced.
