Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

Oldie but goodie
Convenient and in super condition. Under 4 hours for 18. Great place to play when you're in or around the NYC.
Small greens
Good layout. Mediocre condition. Very small greens which detract from play and score. Overall worth playing but not a good value at $69.
This course is always in beautiful shape. Nice staff and always matched with friendly people. I play it about 25 times a year and always look forward to a pleasant time.
Fun in the sun
Course is in great shape. Greens are well manicured and fast. Course layout makes for an interesting and fun time.
In good shape, outstanding Ranger
All aspects of the course in good shape. This is a pretty and fun course.
I'm writing this review to make note of the outstanding work by the course Ranger working during my round. I didn't get his name. He is a gentleman with glasses and a mustache. This Ranger did an outstanding job keeping everybody moving on a very busy afternoon while at the same time keeping everybody satisfied and in good spirits. He did it by observing what was going on and communicating very well with everybody about the situation.
Moreover, when our group we placed food orders at the turn, rather than complain that we didn't place our orders earlier, instead he told us to play ahead and then brought the food out to us! Never seen that before. I wanted to thank him for such unusual courtesy but before I had a chance he sped away in his cart to check on a few groups behind us. This man is a gem!
Great Course at Lake Isle
We played at LI and it was in great shape. The staff is very professional and friendly.
On the course
Went out as a single and was teamed up with three others. Course is in great shape, greens are fast. Hitting the straight ball is key to play. A good time was had by all four players
OK for a Resident
This is a short, easy course. Greens were fast and in good shape, but the rest of the course was average. Sand traps were below average. We waited on almost every hole - some tees had 3 groups waiting.
Go elsewhere for the money - we will not go back.
Boring course
Now I played this course in the middle of fall, low 50s day, so consider that when reading this review.
I was very disappointed in this place. To start I got there 15 minutes early and they wouldn't let me pay until they made a three-some (I came alone), so I didn't tee off until 30 minutes after my scheduled tee time despite the course being empty. They would only send us out as a minimum three-some.
Course was very underwhelming. Layout was very boring, no exciting holes. The actual course conditions was fine, some leaves but that's to be expected. Really it was the layout that I found extremely lackluster. I couldn't imagine being a member here. I don't like giving negative reviews but I rather play a place like Maple Moor over here.
This course had a temporary green
All around good shape but greens were a little rough and one was closed which was a surprise
Needs some tlc
Wasn't in great shape. Looks like weather took its toll in this course. Some greens were fine but others were pretty bad. Pace of play was excellent cause there was no one there. Nice layout, friendly staff but until the course comes back I won't play it again.
Lake Isles
Conditions around the tees and greens were so-so, people do not fix ball marks. There was 1 temporary green, the course needs a fair amount of TLC
Shot makers course, thinking required
Don't let the 6000 length fool you, you have to be accurate off the tee to score here. Due to pretty pretty design and layout, it's difficult to overpower most holes with driver. Being semi-private course conditions were beautiful. Staff was super friendly and the kitchen made me a great burger before our round. Only thing is its impossible to get and early tee time unless you're a member.
not worth 3.5... should be 2.0
very short course...good for retiree..condition is below nyc courses
Excellent Staff
Average Fairway & Green condition, no one repair divot...
