Lake Isle Country Club
About
Located in the heart of Eastchester, Lake Isle Country Club is a facility that is owned by the town and offers a swimming complex with five pools and a tennis center with eight courts in addition to the 18-hole, championship golf course. Opened in 1926, the course is one of the oldest in the area and it is still a local favorite. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course may be on the shorter side but it still offers some challenging holes. The layout is mostly reachable par 4s as well as a few tricky par 3s and only an occasional par 5. The golf course has a classic design that is approachable enough for a range of skill levels to feel comfortable tackling the layout.

Nice golf course
LONG PAR 3'S. CHALLENGING GOLF COURSE. NICE LAYOUT
Great short tricky course
The yardage is short but the long par 3s protect it, tough 200+ par 3s. Greens were lighting like and in great shape. Tough thick rough. Good pace for Labor Day weekend
Perfect Day!
Have played Lake Isle several tiimes and it is a great course. Starter paired us with another twosome and we had a great round. The holes range from long par 3's to a couple tough par 5's but generally playable with minimal hazards.
Good course for the money
Played a fairly, quick inexpensive round on a late Friday afternoon.
help
The Staff and conditions are first rate! The course is a great challenge for the intermediate golfer.
Lake Isle
Course was in great condition, very friendly staff. It was crowded but all golfers were pleasant.
A hidden gem close to Manhattan.
The greens were as good if not better than some private courses. Fairways were excellent. Tees and bunkers are improving but still in need of work. Pace of play was great as were the starter and pro shop.
Conveniently located 5 minutes from Metro North Crestwood Station on Harlem Line. Enjoyable experience!
Great Course
Great course for the value. Overall, it is a little short but has some challenging layouts. Sand traps were not in great shape, but besides that the course was very well kept.
Lake isle
Unbelievable golf course for the price greens are amazing!! Can't wait to get back there and play again
Short but very nice course
The course is a fairly short course and starts with a Par 4 that you can drive in 1 with a good tee shot. The greens were in fantastic condition and very fast as it had been a hot sunny day. Very enjoyable course that I would repeat. Pace of play wasn't really an issue as we finished in about 4 1/2 hours and were rarely had to wait for the group ahead.
Excellent Value
Have played here several times. Course is in great shape except for the bunkers which need triage. Greens are perfect as are the fairways. Staff is refreshing. Especially the golf starter Joe, who did an amazing job of fixing our problem.
Good
It was good. I would play again. Good weather good good

Wow
This course was absolutely beautiful. Well maintained with beautiful greens. Liked it so much came back the next day. Pace was great not crowded at all. Well worth the money
not a championship course
plays like a municipal course and doesn't feel like a championship course at all. strange layout, mud traps (no sand) and no rhythm to the course. i got a great deal on golfnow so i tried it out, but i doubt i will return.
Yardage
Could use yardage cards to show how far from center of green the hole is located
Terrific
Course was in good shape,
The staff was very good, pleasant and helpful. I will defiently go back there again.
Good for the money
Lay out is a bit quirky to start. Alot of short par 4's
Make it fun. The par 3's are the most challenging part of course. Played from back tees par 3' avg about 185 yards.
best part of course where the greens. Even aerated
a week before they run fast and true.
Lake Isle Country Club
With our group spread from Staten Island to Eastern Long Island to Stanford, Ct., Lake Isle is a fairly good compromise for a group of ole' buds to meet several times during golf season.Lake Isle is an easy track to play on. Midweek, it is not too crowded, and the course is usually kept in decent condition. There are some link-style holes which are a bit confusing (and the biggest downside to the course). Nevertheless, your bang for the buck is very good. There are also locker and pool facilities on the premises. Although you have to be a member, you might be able to sneak a quick dip on a hot summer's day (so bring an extra b-suit. Moreover, The Brasserie is an excellent restaurant close by to enjoy cocktails and a late lunch/early dinner with the boyz!
We always have a great day when we visit Lake Isle!
A fall afternoon
We had a most pleasant experience there this week...Foliage abounds...
Fall Trees were scenic
Fairways ok, greens slow, rough hard and patchy grass, pace 4:45, course tight, lots of mature trees....that sums it up.
