Fairway and greens great condition.
Greens were beat up
I played on both the 13th and 20th. The greens were in great shape on the 13th but I ended up repairing ball marks on almost every green. Many of them were a couple days old (dried out and brown on the edges). I would have thought the greens crew would have cleaned those up. There’s no excuses for golfers to walk past their ball marks and leave them without repairing. The rest of the course was in good shape and well maintained.
Decent Course But Rude Staff
Course was in good shape with fairly flat layout on front nine and more dog leg set ups and complexities on back nine. Unfortunately, ranger was extremely rude to our foursome and so I wouldn't waste time at this course. Our foursome was on track at 14th hole for 4 hour round. Ranger drove up and said we needed to hurry up and skip a hole - inappropriate since we paid for 18 holes and were playing right along 4 hour pace. This idiot didn't even know what time we teed off and yet told us we were slow. Obivously, he didn't know what he was talking about and was extremely rude. If this was a normal business, he would be fired for such rude and unprofessional conduct. The golf pro that manages this course needs to be much more hands on and eliminate nasty employees like this. Golfers have choices in where they play and if you don't want to be harassed, then don't bother playing here.
What a round
Booked a 115 tee time and was allowed to go out when ready at 1250. Downpour hit 2nd hole which caused some minor flooding but rd was still very enjoyable. Course was in great shape overall besides tee boxes maybe needing a little extra attention but what place doesnt. Finished just before 330 so even with rain delay pace of play was excellent and I was home about 90 mins sooner than Id expected which was fantastic. Will definetly be back
Well kept
Course is in great condition. The pace of play was very slow on the front, I wish the course would monitor that but the back nine was great. Because we passed the slow foursome. The course is very well kept and it’s a challenging course.
Patience is a Virtue
Eagle Vale is a nice course and well kept for a public course. The layout is good, the only exception being #11 which is a gimmicky hole. The major problem, which I'm sure management does not see as a problem is their insistence on scheduling tee times at 7 minute intervals. By late morning, early afternoon on a beautiful day, you will tee off 15-20 minutes late minimum. If that doesn't bother you, have a great time. You won't be disappointed.
Horrible tee time scheduling
Had a 2:45 tee time on a Saturday. We were in clubhouse to pay, and the starter walks in and says i hope you're ready for a 6-hour round. We were like seriously. We were not in hurry, so we shrugged it off. We were in the 7th hole at 5PM and the starter drove up to us and told us we had to be off the front 9 by 5:30 because they had a league. I looked at him and said that is not my problem. He drove away. How do you tell me to be prepared for a 6-hour round and then tell me i have to be off the front by a certain time. Finished front 9 at 5:45 and went to the back to find they started new groups off on the back 9. We were going to eat at the restaurant after, but we figured the service there was probably awful as well. There are plenty of courses in Rochester to play. Don't waste your money here unless you like to sit around and wait. After i told other people about this they said that Eagle Vale was notorious for over booking. NEVER AGAIN. I hope you take this in consideration before playing here. They are just out for your money!!

Overall conditions of the golf course were great. Greens were quick and there was sand in all bunkers. Some nice new improvements to the course by new owner (completely new box on 3). Will come back and play again.
Fairways and greens are well groomed and a joy to play on. Tees show normal wear and tear for a public course. Driving range was closed but that was due to the clubhouse maintenance. I’ll be back.

Plays long
The course could use another tee that plays around 5000 yards or so for 18. That would open up more play for women. Seniors would benefit as well.⛳️
