Kissena Park Golf Course

I played 4 times there in this year.

The fairway and green are in perfect shape.

But the tee box needs some work.

Play pace is normal on weekday except weekend which had some delays.

Overall it is a one of the best among NYC public courses.

Nice course, good layout. The greens are a bit slow.

Tee boxes were below average. Cart paths were in poor condition. Greens were in good condition. Staff was friendly and helpful . All around a good round of golf .

Play was slow with group ahead. We tried calling main number to report but no answer

Many courses were just sand on tee off. Ridiculous.

Btw, we careful of foxes that people feed and continue to approach golfers.

Very nice course, both my wife and I love to play here. Very friendly staffs, good amenities and very challenging course which makes us very competitive. I recommend everyone to play once and see how you like it.

Get a ranger for the weekends, before one of the “pros” kills somebody with a wayward drive

The course was in pretty good shape, especially the greens. The pace of play was a little slow but it’s a beautiful course with friendly staff. And maybe you’ll get lucky and see the baby fox that I saw!

4 groups waiting on 5th hole. Ranger came up to our group after we waited for 25 minutes behind 3 groups and asked up to pick up the pace somehow.

It's great to work on your irons, greens are up kept fareways are great but there are so many dead leaves and any ball that hits the rough means you lose your ball it's so hard to find it with the way they cut the grass.
